This is awesome @pepperland, very well done! In future though, you can just send a wav or mp3 as long as it’s good quality and of the same length as the reference so it’s easy to mix, but the extras were very thoughtful and much appreciated. What guitar/amp/effects did you use, it sounds almost spot on?

@Dark Overlord do you want to do the other guitar then, and we need some heavy-duty cowbell for this one! We still need vocalists, the main vocals are well out of my range (thank heavens), so we need a Lennon and some Beatley cmon’s.

The cmon’s are in the expected place and you don’t have to do it in time at all or in any particular range, they can be low or high. Here is some advice for Audacity users with this particular part of the project, everyone else will have to figure a way out if they prefer another application. Because its near the end of the track, it’s probably best to record from there, but here is the best way to make it easy for me to combine them:

When you’re happy with your track, make sure both pan and volume are centered, because you’ll be doing some minor mixing here! Add a new mono or stereo track and switch to it. Go to Generate/Silence and hit the dropdown for duration and select hh:mm:ss then enter 02 in the m part and 30 in the s part. You’ll have a track of silence! Select both your track and the silent track and go to Tracks / Mix and Render. Now your track actually starts at the beginning and it will be easy to add! You can just export it and link it to me after that, but remember to save your work!

Side note:

For everyone else who might be confused about this, we’ve moved from this thread into here since it’s also a Beatles Bible Band but not about a theme song, and that project seems to have the legs that the original from this thread sadly lacks. The mods (delicate cough, @Ahhh Girl) will make this transition a little clearer I’m sure 😀 The plan was to do an original but everyone was quite unsure about how to go about it, so we’re trying out some Beatles covers and I took on the coordination and engineering duties so people can make contributions as they feel capable of. Just send me a link with your work so I can download it.

They should all be mp3s with verse 1, verse 2, verse 3, a double track in falsetto, and then one take of “everybody’s got something to hide” that I nailed, so you can replace it is some of the other verses if need be.

Any contribution is good, however big or small, it’s the thought that counts and the fun with music! I will always do my best to make it work! There are no dumb questions either, ok
