Yes. We have banned chicken nuggets, but chick’n nuggets are okay. We have also banned frozen spinach.
Aw! But I like my green smoothies super-duper cold, and if I add ice it’ll just dull the flavour.

We can’t go “banning” a food here and a food there just because someone doesn’t like it. I say keep some frozen spinach, I too like it for my greens.

Than what parameters should we user for banning stuff?

The house is so big, if someone doesn’t like a particular food, they can easily avoid it.

I’d say that we ban as few foods as possible.
That said, I wouldn’t put up a fight if someone wanted something ethically questionable like shark fins, monkey brains, or foie gras banned.

isn’t most food “ethically questionable”?

I looked it up… I’m not gonna lie, it sounds delicious. Horrible, but delicious.

Liver is banned on the grounds that it stinks and is one of the worst foods ever. I accidentally ordered it whilst in hospital and had to get family to bring food in.
Does that include liverwurst (one of the most glorious foods ever invented)?

I wouldn’t say most but a lot is, I guess. Fois gras I won’t go near because a) I’m not a fan of liver anyway, and b) of how it’s produced. Ducks force fed corn through a tube, and fattened before they slaughter them and take the liver, though some are naturally fed. Yes, commercial meat production is the same, really and to some people it too can be called ethically questionable. But I am a meat eater. I draw the line at certain things though. Like, I won’t eat veal AT ALL.

You and my wife have something in common. I happen to love it.
I am against banning it, but an agreement should be reached that says those who cook it will only do so outdoors so nobody else’s senses will be violated.

Oh, yum. My favorite sandwich is liverwurst, Swiss cheese, red onions and hot mustard on an onion roll. Throw in a side of cole slaw and some salt & vinegar chips and you will find yourself in my will.

Duly noted, for when I go on a secret-sandwich-making spree and my favourite Forumpudlians somehow acquire lunch without their having planned on it.
As for me, I’ll have a slice of liverwurst on toast for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or tea. Also very pleasing is liverwurst on French bread with brie cheese, because both are so fabulous on French bread that it is sheerly impossible to only eat one at a time.
I’ve contemplated liverwurst and peanut butter, because they are my favourite sandwich materials and roughly the same colour and often cohabit my pantry, but I imagine it’d be about as bad as you’d think it would be– they’re both wonderful on their own, but they probably wouldn’t work well together.
