I took Latin in high school and was taught Roman mythology more than Greek but I learned both anyway. Also, not to toot my own horn *toot toot*, but I was the president of my Classics Club during my senior year which dealt with learning about ancient Greek and Roman culture. We even put on a production of Hades and Persephone with a modern twist. It included a dance battle to Michael Jackson music.
So to answer the question, yes I am.
Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

Well, it wasn't really either. I thought post #20 was politician-y, so I made a snarky remark, M³ style. It wasn't intended to be cutting, though, so it wasn't an insult. I just thought your exchange with Paulrus was funny.
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

I am from Greece, so I've read a bit mythology (and when I was about 5 years old they used to teatch us in school). I think it's a great way to understand the positive and the negative elements in human's psychology (the Greek Gods were the most anthropomorphic). Generally they're stories with educational purpose. And the education is the reason why the Greeks had made a great civilisation.
Till There Was You said:
I was really big on Greek Myths last year. I read a bunch of them, and knew basically all of the gods. I read the Percy Jackson series, too, if that scores me any points. But, lately, I haven't been all that into it.
I haven't liked the Percy Jackson series, although I haven't read them, cause I don't like the concept at all.

Sorry for using greek words like psychology and anthropomorphic…

Alexis Mardas, a Greek friend of Lennon's known as Magic Alex, arranged for The Beatles to look for properties in the country. Mardas flew to Greece and found an island, often cited as Leslo, although such an island appears not to exist.
(/1967/07/19/beatles-discuss-purchasing-greek-island/)
But they visited one island (I don't know which). (/1967/07/26/beatles-visit-greek-island/)
I don't know more than the articles say.

Thanks for info. I tried to find Leslo in various maps and documents, but couldn’t find anything of that name. It’s cited in dozens of Beatles books and websites, but appears to be a complete fabrication. I’d love to have more information on the matter.

One and one make one.
One thing I did notice is that The Beatles themselves (in Anthology etc) never, to my knowledge, refer to Leslo themselves (please let me know if you can find a quote suggesting otherwise). It seems to have been invented by a third party and become part of the Beatles' own Greek mythology.
