I think this has a unique premise.
I half thought it might have, and was hoping it did, but as noted earlier I think I am a little infamous around these parts for my inability to utilise advanced search effectively

That’s when you go to Google and put this in
“top 10” site:beatlesbible.com/forum
I have found that not all BB pages are indexed, but it does get you some of the forum content.
Your (yes, the collective you) homework is to do the search I gave you and scroll through the results. Search for some other words using that search tip (site:beatlesbible.com).

Yeah, I use google to find specific things on this site quite frequently! Especially helpful when you wanna find something you remember from the “derail” thread because it gives you the specific page number (of which there are, what, 350 or so?)

I think I’ll just pass on the homework and stay back for the detention – we can talk Beatles songs

Very nice list – I like all of the artists and could happily listen to all of these albums.

I am just now reading this thread. Call me a bad mod. I admit I often skip threads about rankings, over- and under-rated, best/worst, etc. Now, no one take that as a license to go crazy in one of those types of threads. @Joe or @Zig may be watching .
So, if someone has a good idea of where these posts should be moved, send me a link and I will do my duty.
Also, in future, if there is a thread you see pop up that perhaps already has a nice, established thread, @ me or send me a PM. If you can find the link, that would be helpful, but if you just have a general idea, I’ll do some searching.
Maybe we should create a thread titled “Your Top 10 Top 10 Lists”. Lord knows we have enough of ’em.
People seem to like these things, so I have no objection. One of the ideas befhind this Forum is to have fun. Maybe if we created a category called Top 10 Lists. Then we could toss all of the related threads into it. I don’t have the motivation to do this, but perhaps our resident techie, AG could do it. Hmm? Perhaps?
I can create a sub-forum for them, like the forum games. What would we call it? Forum lists? Would that cover everything?
But really I’d prefer it if we had discussions rather than lists. I honestly don’t think people read other people’s lists. They’re more navel-gazing than helpful. A good example is the White-Album-as-single-disc one where we got dozens of variations, but I bet nobody really cared about other people’s choices.
When it comes to top 10 artists, songs, whatever, perhaps people could just start a thread about individual bands/singers they like, rather than just listing a whole load of them. That way we can all chime in with our opinions. Thoughts – yay/nay?

^ Cheers. The reason I created this one is because I just happen to have ten artists where I have every album I can get my hands on by them; others I have a selection. It was an interesting exercise to try and work out my favourite album for each, but I had an unexpected fit of decisiveness and just had to share.
But I agree on lists generally, though I do browse and comment if the topic is of interest.

I’d like to participate, but I’d have trouble picking a top ten favorite artists, let alone my favorite album from each.
