I recently got Threshold of a Dream by the Moody Blues for five bucks at my local Hippie Supply Store. IT IS AMAZING. One of the best albums I’ve ever heard.

That one is really good. You should check out the rest of their catalogue.
(I think you would enjoy their Seventh Sojourn album (in spoiler).)

I picked up a copy of Physical Graffiti for .50cents. It has both original sleeves, front poster thingy, and clean records. (It is a first US pressing as well.)
Also found on cassette:
Jim Croce His Greatest Hits – Jim Croce (tons of good songs, he reminds me of my childhood.)
The Eagles, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 – The Eagles. (It’s the Eagles, of course it’s good.)
Without my knowledge, a 1970s superstars record was stuck in the Led Zep album.

What can I say… I’m incredibly selfish and aquire records I don’t like in the hopes that I might end up enjoying them.

I don’t want to go through the whole process of uploading pictures because of what recently happened on my tablet, but here’s two things I picked up at HMV today, both on CD:
The Beatles – Help ! (2009 remaster, will be listening to this one later )
The Monkees – Original Album Series (this only cost £9.99, but features the first five albums! )

Just picked up an original pressing of Kind of Blue by Miles Davis for $35. It was marked $75 but had coupons including one that was 50%. Beautiful and in near mint condition (Owner wrote the name one the back but that is the only downgrade)

@Beatlebug: Did you get any Beatles or Led Zeppelin themed gifts for your birthday?
I’ve just gotten the following, all on vinyl:
– Works – Pink Floyd (an oddball compilation with an absolutely subpar cover)
– Beatle Talk – audio of some interview, I think
– Abbey Road – you know who!
– Animals – Pink Floyd
and a new mobile device so I can carry my music around in my pocket.

After going Beach Boys mad in the record shop (and in my life in general) these last few months, I’ve finally bought my first Beatles album in ages, a copy of the US compilation Rarities (1980):
It has the ‘Produced by George Martin’ tag in the bottom left hand corner of the back cover, so it isn’t a first pressing, but owning Penny Lane with the extra flourish at the end and my favourite version of Across The Universe on vinyl was enough for me to have it.
And continuing my Beach Boys obsession, in honour of Brian Wilson’s birthday tomorrow:
Heroes And Villains/You’re Welcome (1967)
