I finally purchased Good Times by The Monkees. It took me long enough but I finally purchased it and it is a decent album.

That one is really good. You should check out the rest of their catalogue.
(I think you would enjoy their Seventh Sojourn album (in spoiler).)

I picked up a copy of Physical Graffiti for .50cents. It has both original sleeves, front poster thingy, and clean records. (It is a first US pressing as well.)

Also found on cassette:
Jim Croce His Greatest Hits – Jim Croce (tons of good songs, he reminds me of my childhood.)
The Eagles, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 – The Eagles. (It’s the Eagles, of course it’s good.)
IMG_20180222_162550.jpgImage Enlarger

Without my knowledge, a 1970s superstars record was stuck in the Led Zep album.

I don’t want to go through the whole process of uploading pictures because of what recently happened on my tablet, but here’s two things I picked up at HMV today, both on CD:

The Beatles – Help ! (2009 remaster, will be listening to this one later ahdn_ringo_09)

The Monkees – Original Album Series (this only cost £9.99, but features the first five albums! beatlemaniacs_02_gif)

Just picked up an original pressing of Kind of Blue by Miles Davis for $35. It was marked $75 but had coupons including one that was 50%. Beautiful and in near mint condition (Owner wrote the name one the back but that is the only downgrade)

@Beatlebug: Did you get any Beatles or Led Zeppelin themed gifts for your birthday?

I’ve just gotten the following, all on vinyl:

Works – Pink Floyd (an oddball compilation with an absolutely subpar cover)

Beatle Talk – audio of some interview, I think

Abbey Road – you know who!

Animals – Pink Floyd

and a new mobile device so I can carry my music around in my pocket. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

Got myself 3 different albums from the 3 concerts I have recently attended:

Dirty Heads – Swim Team

Awolnation – Here Comes the Runts

The Fratellis – In Your Own Sweet Time

Plus, during the Christmas Holiday, I got the liberty of buying four Weezer albums

Mull Of Kintyre /Girls School – Paulie & Wings

I Shot the Sheriff/Give Me Strength – Eric Clapton

The Long And Winding Road /For You Blue

All Things Must Pass – George – (Not only were the records themselves in great shape, but the box wasn’t horrendously manhandled for once!)

Rory Gallagher – The French Connection

Blueprint – Rory Gallagher

Calling Card – Rory Gallagher

Jesse/Bebop – Julian Lennon

When We Was Fab – George – (Still in the picture sleeve. I swear it’s only been played once or twice; it’s nearly mint)

On CD:

Photo-Finish – Rory Gallagher

After going Beach Boys mad in the record shop (and in my life in generala-hard-days-night-ringo-14) these last few months, I’ve finally bought my first Beatles album in ages, a copy of the US compilation Rarities (1980):

IMG_20180619_160722.jpgImage Enlarger

It has the ‘Produced by George Martin’ tag in the bottom left hand corner of the back cover, so it isn’t a first pressing, but owning Penny Lane with the extra flourish at the end and my favourite version of Across The Universe on vinyl was enough for me to have it. ahdn_john_08_gif

And continuing my Beach Boys obsession, in honour of Brian Wilson’s birthday tomorrow:

Heroes And Villains/You’re Welcome (1967)
