Who knows, maybe she was one of those people who still listened to newer music in her 20’s, 30’s, and even 40’s. For example, my mother likes Katy Perry and Adele despite being 45 and George Martin liked The Beatles despite being 36 when he first heard them.

Over the last week I’ve got quite a bit of stuff.
While up visiting my family my Aunt gave me a bunch of her grandmother’s old records that she was trying to get rid of, as well as her double copy of ELO’s Elderado. A lot of them I sold because it was lot’s of easy listening, but here’s the ones I kept.
Then on Friday I went to the record store and bought
The Beatles Yellow Submarine
Another counterfeit Introducing… The Beatles. This one is the one with George’s shadow missing on the cover.
The Best Of George Harrison
Billy Joel Songs In The Attic
The Beatles Eight Days A Week /I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party
Then from the free section
Then today I went to Zia and bought a few records
Ringo Starr Goodnight Vienna
Then some new vinyl
Paul McCartney NEW
Taylor Swift Red

Necko didn’t buy anything in the last 4 days so I guess I’m double posting.
This will probably be my last trip to the record store for the next 2 years, so I spoiled myself and bought 3 imported Beatles records.
UK pressing of Paul’s Choba B CCCP (13 track version)
This Italian import called The Birth Of The Beatles
UK pressing of Ringo’s Sentimental Journey. I already have one of these, but this one is really cool and an import and in nice condition. My other one is a spotty 99¢ copy. This is the second most expensive record that I own, just under my ’09 Remastered White Album .
And…
That seems like a good place to stop for now. Unfortunately I didn’t end up getting 9 copies of The Beatles, but I’m sure I’ll reach that eventually.
*Note: This number counts double and triple albums as 2 and 3 records respectively. It also counts one copy of The Rutles.

My favorite band from the 1960’s that aren’t The Beatles.
Mine too. They are so good. Brian Wilson is a true genius.

Lucky!
I know! I hadn’t stopped by in a while, and I was talking to my friend Mark who owns the store and he told me they got them in just a few days ago. I immediately picked them out and bought them. Pricey, but worth it.

I’m certainly very into the intro to ‘let’s go away for a while’ which I’d never fully appreciated for some reason. My favourite songs from the album are Wouldn’t It Be Nice, You Still Believe In Me, Don’t Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) and Sir Paul’s favourite track, God Only Knows.

The world would be a sad place without ‘God Only Knows’.
After weeks in which I’ve gone to the record store several times a week, they finally had a second-hand copy of Let It Be … Naked… and I bought it!
