I sold an old Xbox I don’t use and got a bunch of albums by The Doors (LA Woman 40th and the two albums without Jim Morrison), Sandy Denny (five classic albums) Fairport Convention (five classic albums) and Joan Baez (a three disc set of her early stuff).

I didn’t know that. I’ve never actually heard either of the Morrison-less albums. I know that they’re not supposed to be very good. (Side note: I do actually own a CD copy of An American Prayer.)

I’ve heard they’re not very good, but I want to judge for myself.
This is the Doors stuff I have on CD:
The Complete Studio Recordings box set
A Collection (the remixed studio albums without the bonus tracks)
The Doors self titled original CD (edited version)
An American Prayer
…and the stuff I just ordered.
I have all the bonus tracks and rarities on mp3. I also have half of the songs from “The Doors Box Set” on CD already, so I don’t see the need to own that box.

White Album collecting sounds like a cool hobby!
EDIT: Well, I have been record shopping myself, some great finds:
The Beatles – Hey Jude /Revolution (1968), The Beatles – All You Need Is Love /Baby You’re A Rich Man (1967, 1973 release) and The Rolling Stones – Have You Seen Your Mother Baby, Standing In The Shadow?/Who’s Driving Your Plane (1966)*
*funny, because this was the song I was on a kick of a few days ago (if anyone saw my post on that thread)! I originally set out to find 19th Nervous Breakdown, but no luck.
And last, but not least….

Somewhere on the forum there’s a story about a guy who’s collected hundreds (thousands?) of old WA copies with covers that have all been defaced by the previous owners…it’s part of some art project or something. It’s fascinating!

I’m just finishing listening to the two Doors albums without Jim Morrison and they are great. The only explanation for why people don’t like these albums is that people suck.
Full Circle is especially good, which is weird because this one did worse than Other Voices in the charts.

I’m not sure if it counts as ‘bought’ but I’m very excited as I just found an original print 1963 vinyl Of With The Beatles at my grandmother’s house.

Gather round everybody..
she wasn’t at the age to like the Beatles at the time (she already had children so was past that age) so we were trying to figure out why she had it.. but once in 1962 or 63 she did pull up beside their van at some traffic lights. It must have been before the touring days since they were still in a van, but big enough for her to recognise who they were. Also, my neighbour was in the same English sixth form class as Paul.
