It spoke to me (I’ve got a thing going for German pressings of my favourite albums; I’m not sure why ), so don’t be surprised if I end up telling you all about my acquisition of it in the next little while.
Me too actually. From what I’ve heard, German pressings just sound really great compared to American pressings. I have a German copy of News Of The World by Queen and you can definitely tell that it has a very powerful sound, even from my crappy record player.

Just when I was thinking of this thread…
I’ve always wanted Let It Be …Naked.
I purchased;
Chicago Transit Authority
A New World Record- ELO.
Greatest Hits- Elton John.
McCartney- Paul.
Can’t Slow Down – Lionel Richie.
I only had 10$ to waste spend and cut it very close with $9.78 (record tax adding on the 78 cents.)
Edit: Huh, never realised it was Chicago Transit Authority and not Chicago Auditory Transit.
I am you as you are you as you are you and you are all together.

Let it Be…Naked was just a $1.10 on Amazon, CD, pre-owned. I’m adopting all the strays that have been abandoned by their previous owners, it seems. Like I’m rescuing them. I did the same for With the Beatles, which was 0.50.
Fifty. Cents.
Amazon is great. =)
As far as concerts go, I’m really tempted to investigate this…though I’m sure it’s a total bootleg/knockoff/sub-par quality but it’s quite inexpensive. Curiousity might get the better of me.

Instead of paying for something that might be a rip-off i’d recommend hunting around for sites that offer downloads of the same material for free. There are a good few out there that safely share concerts and a whole load of other stuff as its fans trading and sharing with other fans due to their love of the band.
Just be careful where you go and what you do.

On second thought, I’m going to heed that advice and steer clear of the Korean seller here. It’d be great to see their live stuff though…but I’m going to wait a bit. Perhaps after the Eight Days A Week documentary comes out in theaters…

Wilco — Star Wars, 180g vinyl, autographed by the band. I ordered it 5 minutes ago.
I may have to somehow hide this from my wife when it arrives in the mail. When “Star Wars” was released last year, it was free, which is to say, a free download. So I naturally jumped on the free download. Then when it released in physical form, I bought the CD. And then bought the vinyl (which was some color other than black). So I’ve already got this album in three formats, have paid for it twice, but I just saw an “autographed” offer and immediately purchased it (for $25 so it wasn’t outlandishly expensive, at least). I think that I just completely obliterated any doubt that I have a problem here…but I’m doing the best I can to finance the bands that I love! And then some!
Did I mention that Wilco is releasing a new album in September? I’ve already got the CD preordered, figured I’d pick up the vinyl at my local record shop. There are a few vinyl-philic bands whose albums I automatically buy on vinyl these days. Wilco and Drive-By Truckers are at the top of that list, with Jack White pretty close on their heels. But I’m at that age where people are supposed to start downsizing/shedding their possessions, and I still just keep piling on…help!?

James Taylor on Apple Records is pretty great. Paul and George play on Carolina In My Mind. I might even say the Sunny Skies is better than the version off of Sweet Baby James.

I got my hands on this little number.
I’ve never heard any of the Beatles’ Christmas Records apart from the song “Christmas Time Is Here Again “, so I’m quite excited to give this a listen.

How very gearfab! The song is only the beginning of it really. I was fortunate enough to hear them all on YouTube (back in the golden oldie days when you could still actually find Beatles stuff on YouTube ).
