@Lucy in the Sky announced quietly
Well, since everyone is having another go, I might as well jump in:1. I am running out of room for my books. I recently got rid of a few, but my bookshelves will be full soon. I really need to do something about that…
So’m I.
2. My favorite TV show is Sherlock
My best friend (who by the way shares a name with a Beatles song character) got me hooked on that show. I’ve been busy being obsessed with the Beatles (especially George), though, so I haven’t really thought about it in a while.
<trim>
6. I have an old classical guitar that I found in my grandparents’ basement. I use it from time to time, but the neck is a little too wide for my hands
Yeah, I used to play a classical. Then I got into barre chords, and I just couldn’t use it anymore, so I got a steel-string acoustic, which was better.
Upon further reflection:
9. I can come across as pedantic. Sorry about that; I don’t do it intentionally.
Nahhh… not at all!
Might have 9 more after a bit… I have to collect some random things.

ISN’T IT THOUGH?!?!?!!!!!!!!!
It’s especially torture if you think about it enough to derail a thread. So let’s get back on topic…
9 More Random Facts About Me
- Hi.
- I love the Beatles to pieces.
- Especially George.
- And Paul.
- And John,
- and Ringo…
- although I can’t stand their solo careers…
- except George’s…
- and wait, this isn’t very random, is it?…
Just kidding!
- I’m homeschooled.
- I used to dislike olives, but now I don’t mind them…
- …I used to be a very picky eater generally, but I’m not really anymore.
- When I was little, I wanted to be an artist. That was before I discovered writing and music.
- I share a birthday with Thomas Jefferson (not bad, although wouldn’t it be fun to share a birthday with a Beatle?)
- My family owns six instruments (three guitars, two violins, and a piano), only four of which are played regularly (two of the guitars).
- Like George and John, I prefer cats over dogs.
- I have (HUGE) a thing for red hair…
- …and British accents. Especially Liverpudlian/Scouse.
- I just ran out of numbers.
So yeah, there you have nine random facts about me. This thread is by nature very “I Me Mine I Me Mine I Me Mine “, isn’t it?…

OK, I’ve done my nine facts before but here I go again:
- As a child I was a bit of a loner but didn’t feel lonely.
- As an old man I am a loner again but do feel lonely.
- As a teenager and young adult I read lots of SCI-FI and horror.
- I watch a lot of SCI-FI and horror movies and series these days; dramatic films (like good poetry) make me weep like an old woman.
- Greek myths are more familiar to me than the Bible.
- I’m usually broke but I feel happy since I have time and can compose, write and paint.
- I don’t like leaving my house when I don’t have to. I even exercise at home.
- I like Dadaism and Surrealism; in a way you find them both in The Beatles.
- I confess I like Sting as much as I like The Beatles (now shoot me)

Think you missed the point, @Bongo. One fact repeated nine times does not make nine facts, and saying you’re a Beatles fan on a Beatles forum you’ve been on for months is hardly random! I’m yet to find anyone here who isn’t a Beatles fan. Don’t derail!
I think it’s you that missed the point………I blame the humour by-pass operation you had when you were still an adolescent.
I’ve just spotted how old and long this thread is……..Obviously Bongo didn’t derail it………
It’s also possible that in the interim you got your sense of humour back.

Or, maybe, definitely maybe, that reply was always intended to be taken more humorously than seriously… Just very dry humour!

None of the facts in this thread are random since
proceeding, made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern
