1. Of all things, I like music best.
2. After growing out my hair, the amount people told me that I look like John Lennon has increased tenfold.
3. I founded the Rock & Roll club at school, where I teach a lesson on a certian band for 30 minutes every week. The hardest thing I did was condense my knowledge of Beatles history into a 30 min lesson.
4. I have two standard poodles, who are brother and sister.
5. I used to do plays and musicals, but I slowly grew to resent the entire theatre community, and now only appear in Shakespear plays.
6. 6 x2 is 12, which is my favorite number. I also use size 12 bowling balls and wear size 12 bowling shoes (and regular shoes too)
7. I went bowling today and bowled a 96, which is my high score. Tragically, I have never bowled above 100
8. I have been fishing numerous times, and only ever caught one fish. It was the spearfish, referred to by many as the rarest fish in Hawaii.

I’m going to say this from a 56 year olds perspective, teenage women look nice, a lot better than women our own age and if someone is old enough to be charged with a crime, then I say they’re old enough to have sexual consent. Elvis and Priscilla were in love, Priscilla didn’t feel raped or wrong done, so who the hell are you to say their love was wrong and to try and separate true love.
A fourteen year old is not a teenage woman. A fourteen year old is a child. Not all teenagers are adults. Also, eleven year olds can be charged with a crime. Do you really think it is okay for a grown adult to have sexual relations with an eleven year old? If your answer to this is yes, then the reason you were so upset by what I said is that you are a pedophile in denial about being a pedophile. It’s called reaction formation, and it’s actually pretty common.
I also was not trying to separate “true love”. They separated themselves when they got divorced.

Offline The Hole Got Fixed said
Chris came to film a TV program in a house in my street last year.
So you can Imagine how annoyed I was when i found out my school camp perfectly coincided with the filming, thus I never got to meet him.
Oh screw the camp, I would have done a stake out. I love the man, he was a brilliant Doctor. Perfectly captured the anger, loneliness that he experienced after the Time War but also the sheer joviality he experienced in travelling with someone he liked (Jack and Rose).
I like Tennant as well but his character was just too romantic a Doctor to be The Doctor, it didn’t help practically everyone fell in love with him the second they cast their eyes on him (now I don’t blame them it is David Tennant but still….). The contrast between Nine and Rose were it was a very good friendship, that became a more serious relationship towards the end of the series, and Ten and Rose who were a giggling, hand-holding, lovey-dovey couple is almost puke-worthy dare I say. (Doesn’t mean Doomsday doesn’t make me sad though 
).
But yeah Eccleston….wooooooo! He didn’t have the best episodes but in his 13 episodes, damn he was The Doctor.

Cool it there Little Piggy, even if you got pissed off by what he said, you can’t just go assuming Starr Test is a pedophile. What Starr Test was trying to say is that if you can be charged with a crime, you should be able to have sex with adults, which is an overstatement considering young children have been arrested before (http://www.cbs46.com/story/176…..speaks-out), but doesn’t make him an automatic pedo. The problem with this is that Elvis waited until she was an adult to marry her, have sex with her, and have a child with her.

That’s really an exaggeration, as Priscilla consented to it and she was 14 when it started. Let’s put this in Beatles terms, let’s say you were born in 1950 and you go to a Beatles concert in 1965 and Paul invites you to spend the night with him, would you tell him to piss off or would you dig in and have fun. Pedophile can be a very misused term, as a 50 year old man beating and raping a 4 year old and a 30 year old and a 14 year old female having consensual sex is for some reason labeled with the same term.
They didn’t even have sex until they were married. Elvis had a thing for virgins.
Also, she was given parental consent to live in Memphis at the house of Elvis’s father, Vernon, and his wife, while she finished high school.
In addition, national newspapers covered the romance and no one in the entire country had an issue with it, because values were different at the time.
Many people today like to look backward and impose 21st-century values on times past. It’s very common, and something that people who don’t understand history often do. You can’t look at the past through a contemporary lens. Things were different.

A $10,000 payment went to the mother of two teenage American girls, said Ivor Davis, author of the new book “The Beatles and Me on Tour.”
The mother was irate when she learned her underage daughters, who went missing until the wee hours, were found in John Lennon ’s suite at the Sahara hotel, where the Beatles were staying.
“They paid her off to keep her quiet,” Davis said in a telephone interview. Beatles’ management worried that the image of the band “cavorting with underage girls” was a potential public relations disaster, he said. In his book, he wrote that it “threatened to sink the entire American trip.”

Certainly Elvis’ relationship was based in love whereas Lennon… That was a sad article for me to read.
Its not too far fetched for the journalist to have lied about the story either. This type of news has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Well, today we may think there was something wrong with Elvis dating a 14 year old, but no one thought twice about it when it was actually happening. One reason is that she had parental consent, but in general people were more permissive in the 50’s and 60’s (really even until about the 90’s) about men dating younger women. In some states, men can still marry underage women with parental consent today.
However, in Elvis’s case, there was no sexual contact and the marriage did not take place until she was legal.
In any case, Elvis would not have been a pedophile. Pedophiles are attracted to children (prepubescent individuals). Elvis would have been a hebephile, which is someone attracted to pubescent individuals ages 11-14. Ephebophilia is the attraction to adolescents, ages 15-19.
Elvis and The Beatles were definitely ephebophiles.

Offline You say that nobody thought twice about it at the time, but that’s not true. My grandma was alive at the time, and her and her friends all thought the whole situation was strange, as did my great-grandmother.
A fourteen year old girl is not a woman; a fourteen year old is a child and nowhere near emotional maturity. Call it what you want, but it’s still creepy.
