Mine was either Bob Dylan at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1990, or Lenny Kravitz somewhere in Bristol that same year (I was mad about Lenny's first two albums). I was 14. I'd been to the occasional local show before but those were the first proper gigs I wanted to go to.

Zig – I'm amazed that you can remember the prices and dates. Do you still have the ticket stubs, or were you keeping a diary?

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 One never forgets their first, Joe!

I do have the stub at home, but I actually looked up the date online just before my post above.

Apparently there is someone in the UK who is as bonkers over CT as you are over the Fabs.

As for yours, Dylan or Kravitz would have been a killer first concert. I work with a guy who saw Hendrix for his first back in 1969!

My first concert might have been Weird Al when I was probably 13. It was at the Toledo Zoo and I didn’t buy the tickets so I couldn’t tell you how much they were.
I think that was my first show, except for Sesame Street Live which was insane!

I don't really go to concerts, but I guess it was 2009, Classical music ( some Sibelius, can't remember the rest). Tickets were 10 euros or so and I fled after the first half, since it was so utterly boring.  My music teacher made me, I hope he at least enjoyed it.

Boy band of the '70s and '80s. Ricky Martin used to be in it.

You only paid $86 for Sir Paul? I think I ended up paying about $170 or so and was at either the same show that Strawberry or Daniel attended in Pittsburgh..I think it was the 18th although I’m a bit hazy on the details. It was the one where he played Hey Jude , you know, that one. a-hard-days-night-george-10

Although I do remember that beer prices were $8.

When I saw Macca last year I paid £85 (presale tickets, good seats). That’s about $135. The concert wasn’t a sellout and I heard of tickets going for £5 each at the box office. Still, I was able to walk right up to the front and take photos rather than being right at the back in the clouds, and it was worth every penny.

My first concert was an American Idol concert in 2006. (I used to be so obsessed with the show, now I only watch it for Beatles covers XP) I remember my ears hurting afterwards because it was so loud in there. I still have the t-shirt 🙂

My mind is far away, off in Pepperland…

Never been to a concert in my life. My parents have to approve of the artist, and they like Chinese pop and the Beatles. So…in other words, I won't be going to a concert anytime soon blue-meanie
