Also, from lowest to highest, the ranges go Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Mezzo Soprano, Soprano

Offline I’ve also come across this video, although that was a while back. My vocal range is from D3 to A5 if I count falsetto in. It’s only the notes from F5 to A5 that I can’t sing in full head voice, though, so it doesn’t really make much of a difference I guess.

Nice I didn’t actually count falsetto in when I did it, I don’t know why
I’ll probably try again with falsetto in later and post the results here

I never even realised I could do that. I don’t know if my voice has properly broken yet, but I’ll make the most of it anyway.
That said, despite my range, I’m not a very good singer anyway. But I’ve been persevering no matter what people think.

Yes, well, I can get to the low tones of mezzo soprano, but also to the high tones of soprano. I actually told you of the range I had maybe a year ago when I came across this video, which was a silly thing of me to do, because when I ‘sang’ along this video again just now, I could go up all the way to C6!
So, my vocal range is from E3 to C6. I guess all the singing payed off.

That is only a few tones less than me, and isn’t too bad I suppose, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say it is the entire range. There are many 2’s and 6’s out there left of be hit But it is a few tones over two octaves, which is something that speaks of a natural talent for singing. An average person can’t sing more than an octave and a half.

Can get to C6 with falsetto… surprised at that, thought I’d go lower and didn’t think I’d get that high.

Offline Can’t help it, I didn’t know I could hit a note THAT low though. Also, I thought I’d be able to sing a bit higher than F5. I’ve really screwed up my voice.

That’s probably true! Most of ’em are just too low to hear!
Actually I believe they are just too high to hear (above our frequency, dogs can hear them though)
Ringo is just insecure about his girly singing voice and sings low as a disguise to keep his manliness in order

I’d say George is around two +something octaves – with falsetto, though. He sings most his Beatles songs in falsetto anyway. As for Ringo, I have no clue, but now you’ve prompted me to do some research!
I used to think it was all about the vocal range too in my early singing days, but in time, we all have to face the fact that the vocal range isn’t something we can do much about, and that it is the singing technique that it’s all about. Just find the range you feel most comfortable singing, and find songs that suit your voice Don’t force yourself to sing just about anything, you might damage your voice. I’m sure that everyone would like to be able to sing eg. Listen by Beyonce or Oh! Darling or, I don’t know, On My Own in Les Miserables, but why strain your voice with something you’ll likely never accomplish instead of developing your own singing style?

Offline Mine is unusually low for a girl. It’s almost tenor-ish. Ergh.

So, pretty close to Paul’s (tenor)… only without the extra low octaves. Why does he have to be so amazing?! 
I must add that before I started regularly singing full voice, it stopped right around middle C. Then I realised that those four lads (you know which ones) weren’t really singing falsetto in their songs much, and I started training my voice. (All this means is that I’d sing along in full voice instead of falsetto– nothing fancy.) It took some time, but now I can almost sing “Oh! Darling ” if I yell hard enough, and everything else is fairly easy. So even though I occasionally curse my low voice, I’m actually pretty lucky (I suppose I have to think so, because I can’t really do anything about it.)
So the moral of this tale is: a bit of practise can be fun, but whatever you are, you are, and there’s really nothing you can do to change that. And what @ScrambledEggs said above.

Like I said elsewhere 
, my range is about B2 – A5, but I can push it bit further when I’m well rested, or just not thinking about it at all. Hitting A2 is about a 50/50 chance, though it’s usually effortless in the morning (or when I’ve got a cold).
