Offline Hi all. It’s been far too long since I have been here. For reasons that are my own, I haven’t been on any social media for quite some time. This is my first post anywhere since…can’t remember when. I can’t think of a better pond in which to re-submerge my toe.
Most of all, I hope everyone is healthy. I browsed the first couple of pages in the Coronavirus thread and was not at all surprised to see the outpouring of support. It made my heart feel good. The virus has taken three of my friends, almost took a fourth. So, I did not have the heart to go through the entire thread for fear of more bad news. Again, hoping for the best for all of you.
Knock wood, Zag and I are in good health. She gets her first vaccine in a few days and I get my second one in about three weeks. Our dog Lily is still with us (15 years old!) and now she has a brother named Brody. He is a Walker Coonhound that we rescued in March of 2020 – one week before the stay-at-home orders. We have been working from home ever since – Zag and I, not the dogs. They just eat, poop and play.
Thanks very much to those who reached out to me personally via email. I knew I’d be back here eventually. The benefits of my self-imposed ban of all social media have been many and wonderful. The only drawback has been not staying in touch with my virtual friends. I miss chatting about The Beatles with folk who know more than just the four names. I don’t know how frequently I will post, but it’s good to be back…slowly.
