Silly Girl sunged thoughtfully
I think I shall go and do Dark Side next…
I did indeed, and almost had a nervous breakdown from the awesomeness of Nick Mason’s drumming during ‘Monay*’ (the 4/4 part); so to make up for the excess of Nick-fangirling, I am now listening to Abbey Road and doing some serious Ringo appreciation.
I LOVE DRUMMERS
*a typo but it really is sung that way

As promised, Every Little Thing in all it’s (some would say bombastic) progressive rock glory. Note-the intro is a couple of minutes long…

Prog rock is cool. Day Tripper woven into Every Little Thing is cooler.
Nice harmonies too!
Am I alone in thinking the chap in the back of that photo looks a bit like Roger Waters (hair/cheekbones), or is that just Miss Floydnut here seeing PFs on every corner?

Listening to ”Birth of an accidental hipster” of that same album, which was written by Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller. Sounds exactly like something they’d come up with.

That is a hot reference to Day Tripper @Beatlebug . I think I was waiting for the angelic vocal to kick-in so I missed it the first time . You’re right, that does look like Roger. I’m always a bit amused when I compare pictures of American and British bands from that time period. The British always look so Fab (clothes, hair, pose) while the Americans appear to be hanging out after being up all night.

This is a cool album ~ thanks for letting me know about it. So far my favorite is Me & Magdalena (love Mike’s vocals and the reference to nearby Monterey). It’s nice they were able to include a Davy song too.
