Offline I can’t stand the sound of a harmonica.
I had such a weird afternoon!
Before I’m telling this I first have to tell something else that occured a few weeks ago. We went to a gig in Amsterdam, and there was some paranormal dude. He told my mom she had a lot of charisma, and a big aura and god knows what. He could exactly say which city we come from. It was a bit creepy. He asked my mom if she had ever done anything with paranormal stuff and could exactly describe her character. My mom laughed it off. She later told me this wasn’t the first time anyone told her this. Funny, shame we never saw him afterwards. Would have loved to hear what he had to say about my aura and shizzle.
Well then, today we saw a man in town, and my mom said she had seen him at the supermarket just before too. I was like yeah whatever, no idea. We walked home and who was there, just one block away, at the bus stop? The guy. So my mom greeted him and he asked us if this was the third time we had seen each other, and said it couldn’t be a coincidence. He then started to blab about how she had so much charisma and that he saw a light in her left eye and stuff like that. He then asked about her mother and if she was worried. ”What the f**k”, was my thought at that moment. He then blabbed something about her having a bond with someone in the afterlife and that she has a paranomal purpose in this life and all, and that something will happen at 51. He then asked me if I worked in the social field, if I worked with people. I said yes, thinking he was some kind of stalker. He then said he could see me doing another job. That this was not my thing and that I will eventually switch. He wouldn’t say what. He said I had to find a path for myself. Eventually I could convince him to say it. He could see me as a midwife! What the f**k.
Then he talked a bit more psychobabble and eventually we could get rid of him. What a weird thing.

I meditate changing my avatar to a drawing of George (since he’s my favourite… now), but then I don’t want to because I’m too attached to this one. *sigh*I might update this drawing though.
I think you have to appreciate the All Things Must Pass album more before he can be your favourite, isn’t that like a law or Something ? 🙂
T’isn’t true. See, Paul used to be my favourite, but even so I couldn’t and still can’t stand very many of his solo songs. Whereas I actually like George’s, albeit only some… So
Besides, as George says himself, I should only use his love while it does me good; if there’s good to be shown I may make it all my own– and if I want to quit, that’s fine. 
And according to Roger Waters, the sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older.

I knew there was something off about it!
Stevie Ray Vaughn played everything down a half step intentionally. If it’s good enough for him the past few weeks probably weren’t that bad.
I just hope you weren’t trying to play along with any recordings. Chords in minor seconds is probably the worst musical sound ever.

A similar thing happened to me when i picked up my acoustic that I havent touched in weeks. It was like a whole step flat on most strings.
So I have a question, a dilemma of sorts. I got an iPhone to replace my flip phone yesterday. I tried to see if they could port the old number over but the guy said since it was a prepaid, they usually mess up but it would be possible just more complicated. I like the new number they gave me but the big problem for me, which is really a small one anyways, is that I gave the old number to a few people who moved away last year, namely that girl who never responded as some of you may recall, and I am worried that they might try to contact me and it might not work. I have all those peoples numbers but I am kind of afraid to text them. So, I need some input should I:
1. Port the old number over
2. Ditch the old number completely
3. Send messages to them informing them of my new number
4. Keep my old phone active in the event someone does try to reach me on that number
And one last thing. Am I overthinking this?

Well @UnidentifiedFiendishThingy , to the last question first; Yes, I suspect you are 🙂
I vote 3. It’s a good chance to purge numbers and contacts you no longer need. The message can just be a quick and neutral one like “Hi, it’s [insert name] here. I’ve just got a great new phone and the number is xxxx xxx xxx, Cheers”. Or some such!

At my dads funeral two old friends attended looking to get back in contact. I gave them my email but since then they haven’t. Anyone understand this.
Seems strange to me.

Hard to say without knowing them; all I can guess is that maybe they think it’s a bit soon and they’re not sure what to say. That’s assuming they got the email right; did they write it down or did you put it down for them?
Sorry, nothing else springs to mind. Personally I think 3-4 days and then a note asking how things are and offering to buy you a beer at the pub would have been okay, but like I say I don’t know everyone.

Wow @Linde , that’s one of the strangest stories I have heard in a long while. Not ever mind, as both my parents used to dabble in the paranormal when they were younger – I remember various odd friends when I was young, though they seemed to lose interest when I was a bit older.

Perhaps I am being more harsh and judgemental, but I think the people never had any intention of rekindling the friendship, mmm. I think they just were just pretending. I hope I’m proven wrong — maybe they were in a car crash and then lost their hair.
@Oudis, ask us some “cultured” questions. I need to be pushed to think. I’m hanging out with people who went to and work at the top-name universities in this country. It can put a person in an elevated mind-set when around them.

Maybe. I dont know. A strange one. I dont get much of social decency but i certainly wouldn’t go and see someone at a funeral i hadn’t seen for a good few years, ask for their contact details and yet have zero intention of following it up.

Offline I get the feelig Ahhh Girl is right. Maybe they were just trying to be nice to you by pretending to have the intention of contacting you. But then again, it’s very strange to come to a funeral for that. Especially if you haven’t seen the person in years.
