I just heard about the passing of one of the last great Kings of blues… I’ve always had this dream of shaking his hand one day.
This is a huge loss and makes me very sad.
Rest in peace B.B. Thanks for all you have done.

I have no idea how I did not hear about BB King until just now reading it here. Gutted does not begin to express how I feel. He will always be a household favorite around our place.
R.I.P. Riley B. King – you are loved.

Julie Harris who designed clothes for the Beatles in their first two films ‘A Hard Day’s Night ‘ and ‘Help !’ (for which she received a BAFTA nomination) as well as ‘Live And Let Die ‘ which Paul wrote the theme song for had died at the age of 94 report the BBC.
In 1965, after working with the Beatles, she said: “I must be one of the few people who can claim they have seen John, Paul, George and Ringo naked.”

Very sad indeed. One of the greats. Also one of the Band On The Run escapees. He will be missed.

The wonderful actor Patrick MacNee has died peacefully at his home aged 93 report the BBC.
I loved him in The Avengers as John Steed and he always came across as a fine gentleman in interviews. Plus he had the common sense to appear in the video of the best by far Oasis song – ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’.

I grew up watching The Avengers, watched the show again in my thirties and now that I’m fifty I’m watching it again… Yes, you could tell he was a true gentleman. For me this is almost a personal loss. I will miss you, “Steed”. (Gosh, the news made me really sad)

Me too……..
I used to deliver the morning newspapers to the mews house they used for Steed’s pad in the TV series. He didn’t actually live there of course…. though one morning I looked in thru the letter-box and I did see a bowler hat and a black umbrella hanging in the hall……..I always wondered after that!!
