She’s quiet now, she heard the silent internet pleas.

Two lads next to me are doing a sex quiz made for women (e.g. would you go on the pill if you had a painful menstrual cycle….bloody hell a-hard-days-night-george-10 ), t’is quite entertaining and some girl has stolen the broken lad’s crutches and is hobbling around the room

Sounds like a circus.

I dislike those people who sing in public like they are calling for attention too. Nothing wrong with singing to yourself, but not so loud. Geeza-hard-days-night-ringo-13 In high school, I knew crappy pop songs without actually hearing the song first because of people like that.  It would have been better not to hear the song at all! a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

When I am at our branch campus and the VPN craps out on me. I hate having to get back into the programs that close when this happens. Frustrating!

Yep, it just happened so that’s what reminded me to post this.

People taking pictures of themselves (or ‘selfies’ – the new word of the year) in the bathroom mirror. Why do people do that? I was in the bathroom at school today and I was waiting in the queue for ages, and when the girls came out the cubicle I realised why. They’d dolled themselves up to take pictures of themselves. I don’t even know how more than one person could get in there… blue-meanie

I dislike when people take so many pictures about their everyday life to post to fb or whatever. It shouts: “Look At Me ! Aren’t I great?”

My newest pet peeve is the total lack of quality cutomer service displayed by US Airways. We travelled over the past weekend and it involved four different flights on four different planes. Two of those flights/planes were delayed due to maintenance issues. I get that…it happens. But not this way. Read on.

The first was on the very first flight of our trip. Once they made the announcement that the plane would be delayed by an hour, the gate attendant said they would start rebooking people who had connections (that’s me) to make within the next 90 minutes. After waiting in line for over an hour, she processed exactly 2 people!!! The rest of us were herded on to the plane and were forced to make the best of it at the next airport…no lie. While expressing my great displeasure to the aforementioned attendant, she finally handed me a card with a phone number to call in order to rebook. WHY WERE WE ALL NOT GIVEN THIS FROM THE BEGINNING?!?!?! I felt bad for those who had already boarded and had no clue what they were going to do at the next airport. Sooooo, I passed the card to the next person and told her to pass it on.

The second delay was on the last flight home. We all boarded the plane. THEN, the pilot decided to tell us that we all had to deplane due to a maintenance problem and that another plane was coming to pick us up. Huh??? Why did we board in the first place? Practice?

Oh…and did I mention they made me check my carry-on bag (for the first practice plane) because they were running out of space in the overhead bins? Then, the next 30 people to get on the plane were allowed to carry theirs right on and place them in the cavernous space available. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

As my wife and I finally stepped off the plane at the end of our trip the stewardess said, “thank you – see you next time”. To which I replied, “not unless you work for a different airline!”

Thanks for listening.

Love the “not unless you work for a different airline” kiss off, Zig.

Whole thing sounds like a nightmare.

My pet peeve at the moment is some crap program called “FriendsChecker” that I can’t rid FF of. It slows everything down and keeps flinging up pop-up ads all over the place, and constantly reloading pages to see if it can think of another fecking ad to chuck at me. My first day on Opera. So far, so good. No sign of fecking “FriendsChecker”. And why the hell call it that! Haven’t seen it find any friends, only crap that people want me to waste my money on.

This might help mja, a few ideas on what to do on a mozilla support page (ie ff) about how to remove friendchecker. Be very careful where you go to scan for malware, some sites that claim to do so are fakes and only add a whole load of guff to your machine.

Yeah I HATE that. I know people who change their profile picture literally every day.

I’m a completely different story though. I change it once in a year or so. I hate taking pictures of myself. It’s so forced and fake.

My mother-in-law’s pet peeve is that my hubby and I don’t take enough pictures with us in them. That’s what she complained about so much when we showed her the pictures from our first trip to Europe. We have been taking a few more pictures of us when we are on vacation, but not enough of them to really please her.

Agreed!  Facebook is so bad for people bragging about their life, that’s why I don’t really use mine anymore.  My sister was the worst!  It was always “I’m loving life!  Look At Me and my boyfriend!  Look what I’m doing!  blahblahblah“.  I love my spouse too, but I don’t feel the need to rub it in everyones face constantly.

Ugh.

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

I’ve seen people do this at the bus stop!  Really?  ahdn_paul_01

Ugh.

That is my sister-in-law right there! The whole family (husband’s family, not mine) takes pictures, but she is the worst of the bunch. Constantly bragging about her youngest kid like he is the best thing since sliced of bread. I love my nephew, but his mother sometimes makes me despise him. Shes not the only one though and like you, this is why I don’t use my fb that much. I left for about a month just to get away for the craziness. I’m thinking about leaving in a little while again.

I wouldn’t blame you!  I keep mine active, but I don’t use it much.  I don’t post, but I have family on there so I like to see theirs because I live out of town so I don’t see them all the time.  I usually only post new stuff on special occasions, like an anniversary or something.

I like to sometimes keep up with people who I don’t see. I don’t really post and people don’t care that I post or at least it seems that way. Some can post simple thing and have several likes or post their opinion and no one gets mad. The minute you post your opinion people are down your throat. Or post something great and no one likes it, so its like whats the point.

I know!  My mother-in-law is so bad for doing that!  She never commented on anything I ever posted, even on our ten year anniversary when I posted the tattoo I got of her son’s initials on my ring finger!  But, she will pick me apart for some comment!  Example:  One time I posted this article on this guy who (thankfully) got jail time for torturing a cat.  In the description I called him a “piece of s**t”.  She defended the guy saying that he “needed help” (obviously) and said it “wasn’t necessary” to call him that and all this….  really?  NOW you comment on my stuff?  Seriously.  a-hard-days-night-john-7

Exactly, Zig. I can see myself in the mirror anytime. I want my picture of Neuschwanstein Castle to be unobstructed.

When you’re trying to work and your cat keeps sitting on your books.

And then meowing very loudly outside the door when you lock him out, because he doesn’t like being on his own.

Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.
