Well, I bought something with my Amazon credit. I didn’t really *need* the item, so it is kind of a splurge…but not quite in the category of “blowing it”. I’ve had my eye on it for some time. It accommodates a 128GB card so I can put everything on one card to have with me at all times. It is supposed to make Beatles music sound better than the rinky-dink mp3 players I’ve been using. I had to add a little money to it to make up the difference.FiiO X3-II High Resolution Music Player (2nd Generation)
I almost bought one of those once when I broke my ipod. I ultimately ended up just replacing the hard drive and battery of the broken ipod with new ones because it was cheaper.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

So today my mom and her brothers divided my grandma’s stuff. I’ll be getting this very old secretaire I’ve always loved, but I haven’t got a clue where to put it. And guess what else I got?
Her Christmas stuff of course! The holy grail.
Otherwise it’s busy, busy, busy..tomorrow I’ll be going to Amsterdam with my mom to see Noel Gallagher again, which hopefully will be a better experience than last time, Friday it’s my birthday, so there’s only Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday left and I’ve got a due date for a report, I’m part of organizing an afternoon with Dutch games for Kingsday at my internship, also helping to organize a movie night at my internship, got loads of other stuff to do for my internship and college. I like being busy though. Oh and the thought of having two weeks off after this week sorta helps as well.

Sounds like a busy week, Linde. Those two lights at the end of the tunnel are your B-day and a two week holiday. Not too shabby.
Nice to hear you will have some of your grandmother’s belongings to remember her by. As the years go on, those items will become priceless.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

God , it’s been crazy in Sillyland… and it ain’t over yet.
In my lit class we’re doing a group project, and one of em had this mad idea to make a short film (and we went along with it ) and then I got a cold that completely DESTROYED my voice (I’m all hoarse and I can barely talk and singing is out of the question) , and I’m having a slightly belated birthday party on Wednesday after class, which happens to be the same day our project is due, and it looks like we’re going to have to present it as a work-in-progress, and so I’ve been very busy these past days (which is why certain messages in my inbox have lain unanswered for so long– I appleogise, I shall get to them one of these days, I promise), but like Paul, I shall ‘do everything until we’ve got it done, then (when my voice comes back) sing Hosanna to the morning (rising?) sun’.
Run-on sentence anyone?
Right now I’m getting a bit of much-needed rest… I shall say I’m studying (the back of my eyelids, that is).

Cheer up, @natureaker! Put some happy music on and think Silly thoughts (that’s what I do, anyway. Of course, I’m an expert texpert– not to be confused with our esteemed Expert Textpert– at thinking silly thoughts). And take some
In my life, my throat is doing considerably better than it was yesterday– it’s not shipshape yet but there are marked improvements, not the least of which was that I managed to hum a snippet of Think For Yourself at some point today. So I was indeed able to do a bit of filming today (yesterday I was much too hoarse) and it pleases me greatly to think I shall soon be able to
SIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!!!
once more.

Why would you want your throat shipshape, surely throat shaped is far better? (All credit goes to Young Fred for the inspiration of this joke).

Well, any shape would be grand as long as it works correctly. And I can sing stuff. That Is All
