That’s so awful, Trud. I wish that family healing and peace.

That is horrible Trud and something i don’t understand, i mean i get why the husband did it but dont understand it at all. The husband not wanting a divorce so resorts to murder is just senseless, incomprehensible and destructive for all those involved and knew them, especially their kids.
Same with the teacher getting killed at LikeASir’s school. A life taken so quickly and so many others destroyed and changed forever negatively.
I just hope that all those affected can somehow move on with their lives and not let such needless actions ruin them.

You might have already heard about it on the news but a teacher was stabbed and killed at my school. She was the nicest, kindest, loving teacher there and I don’t know how I feel. I was in Maths when a call came saying that the lesson was extended for 10 minutes. I was a bit curious but thought nothing of it. Then the lesson finished and I was walking to RE when a teacher blocked the corridor saying we had to use the other one. Then I heard someone say a teacher had been stabbed. It’s weird, you hear about things like this all the tiem in the news but you never really know how it will affect you if it happened in your area.
Oh wow, that’s terrible. I heard about the stabbing on the news yesterday. How horrible you and your fellow pupils have to go through this. I heard the school is to reopen today – I hope it isn’t too traumatic.

It did open, and it wasn’t too bad. What really amazed me was that yesterday most people got home at about 4 and by 6:30 a full memorial service had been organised at the school! Just goes to show what can happen when people come together (pun not intended.)
"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."

Sometimes it is easy to forget just how worldwide The Beatles, as a group and as individuals, impact really was – as it can often be read as an impact on the developed world. Sometimes though, you find yourself reminded how what they did touched every part of this little planet, and still helps some of the poorest protest.
A couple of weeks ago over 200 schoolgirls in Nigeria were kidnapped by a fundamentalist group opposed to the education of women. Yesterday there was a march on the Nigerian parliament protesting the lack of progress in returning those children to their parents. Some words were changed to fit the circumstance, but they turned to John Lennon for something to sing as they marched…

What is wrong with some people? Just heard on the news 2 Welsh teenage girls are released on bail for “plotting to kill their teacher”, one of them brought a knife to school with her. They were overheard discussing their plan in the classroom.
I can not understand how you could possibly take someone’s life. It makes no sense to me whatsoever but then again you never know what’s going on in some people’s minds.

Is this therefore some copycat attempt of the stabbing in the Leeds school earlier this week?
And why would you want to kill your teacher and when did this start to be an option for students? I detested some of my teachers but all it made me do was either not attend the class or do no work and be bored until the bell went, not get a knife and take their life. Surely there are signs before it gets to that point but i guess no one is looking for them or wants to get involved.

It really scares me that people today think that’s what you do when you don’t like someone. They must not value their lives if the want to take others and waste theirs in prison.

Very sad and surprising news that the former British #1 tennis player Elena Baltatcha has died aged 30 from liver cancer. 30 years old is nothing.

Was shocked and stunned to hear the news. Very shocked and stunned. What a brave woman she was. Diagnosed with an incurable liver condition at 19, she spent her whole career coping with that, and then cancer comes along. A brave woman lost too soon.
RIP Elena.

That’s a good question! I want to start a happy newspaper/website/channel. There’s probably some happy news, but the BBC only alerts me of depressing stuff.
