Thumbs up to Mr Kite for his work on this project!
I’m working on I Will . I have the most of the acoustic guitar done plus Paul’s acapella-style bass. I still have other some missing bits to add but it’s sounding ok so far. It’s going to need someone to do a vocal and also that percussion clip clopping sound.
If anyone else fancies having a go at that bass, send it up to Mr Kite and he can choose the version he likes best 🙂

Cool, get the backing done and PM me to drop off a wav of it and I’ll give bass and/or vocal a shot. I’ve got a lovely mike sitting around all lonely because I won’t use it on anything of mine yet.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I know I’ve kept @Sugarplum fairy waiting, (sorry! ) and will attend to the project this weekend.
@KaleidoscopeMusic Pick any piano song you’d like from the White Album and send over a recording!

@Mr. Kite All right! That might take longer than anticipated since I sightread music and am working on a ton of other songs currently. When would you like it by? I’m more of a vocalist, FYI–but the Beatles aren’t exactly sopranos (the closest is that guy), so it might be a challenge. I’d really like to sing a song though, so let me know when the first one is open!
Only music can save us.

Yay, we’re going again. Why don’t you sing along to a White Album track and send it in, @Beatlebug? @Mr. Kite needs all the vocalists!

@mr-kite-2 I found an online PDF of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps ” piano accompaniment. I’d like to use that, but I’d figured I’d ask first because it’s using someone else’s arrangement. Since this is nonprofit (and we’d obviously cite our works), can I use it?
@Beatlebug I’m definitely a Soprano I. I take lessons and do a lot of singing elsewhere too. I suppose the logical decision for me would be to stick to piano if we’re doing the White Album . What voice part are you?

I know, I know!… ‘Tis torture watching Mr. Kite needing vocalists and me being a fairly competent Beatle-mocker (I’m not a mod or a rocker, I’m a mocker), but I have no recording equipment. Whatsoever. So ’tis out of the question.

I posted my range here: https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..e/#p170733 I think it makes me a low alto, I’m not sure. I can’t really sing regular alto parts that well, but I can do Beatles songs well–tenor parts.

No excuses. I’m the biggest procrastinator in the world and I’ve managed to get a usb interface and a condenser mic and a stand this year, and you don’t have to even do that. All you really need is an SM58 mic which is cheap and a copy of Audacity which is free, and maybe a stand and you can sing along to a song in your headphones and record it on your computer.

No rush on my account! I still haven’t done the last few guitar bits on I Will . I’m going to be away for a few weeks but I will get it done when I get back. 🙂

@Beatlebug Wow, that’s a wide range. If you say that you’re a tenor, then it’s most likely mezzo-soprano for a girl. However, you’re still hitting those alto/soprano notes–so congrats! I have limited recording resources as well. For the piano, I plan to just use the primitive VoiceMemos on my iPod and maybe a free app. For voice, you could do what @ewe2 suggested and use (even a regular) mic (if you have one) and maybe try an app. At least it’s something. 😛 It’s too good of an opportunity to pass up!

Seriously? I thought it was rather meagre–but then, I’m comparing myself to the greats (hint: ), which ain’t ever a good idea.

Sorry–nope, nope, nope. Ring me again in five or ten years.

The project is meant to allow everyone to contribute what they want, so if you don’t want to do the piano part, that’s fine. While My Guitar Gently Weeps would be great though!
Blackbird would be a good song to sing, since it’s mostly done thanks to sugarplum. After vocals we’d be officially done one track. Any song you want to sing would be fine though. Haven’t had any vocal tracks done yet.

Thank you very much, @pepperland! Haven’t heard it yet, but I’ll be right on it.
I need to start putting some of these tracks together now that the project is getting more interest!
