I don’t really see the point of this since what makes their music so great is how it fits into its albums (e.g songs from Sgt Pepper would make no sense outside of the context). There is such a division between 62-65 beatles and 65-69 beatles it would be impossible to make a coherent album. But you only live once or whatever, so here I go:
(I’m not including Sgt Pepper tracks for consistency and going for a solid pop rock album)
Side 1
2. Something
3. Rain
4. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
6. Yesterday
7. I Want You (She’s So Heavy)
Side 2
8. Help !
10. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)
11. In My Life
13. Let It Be
14. Golden Slumbers //Carry That Weight //The End
The following people thank QuarryMan for this post:
penny laneI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
