Thank you.
I originally had a different tracklist which didn’t include Revolution #9 but I thought it would make for a really weird closing track and I thought having I’m So Tired and Good Night back to back would make for an interesting listen.
It is a soft end to what would have been a pretty upbeat album but I think it would have worked.

The funny thing about this question is that The Beatles could actually fit onto one CD although Apple chooses to keep it split, presumably due to a combination of audio quality and preserving how it was back in 1968. As far as vinyl though, we can have fun there:
John Lennon /Rubber Beatles Band:
Side A:
Where’s The New Mary Jane
The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill
Side B:
Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey
Revolution (parts 1 and 2)
Cry Baby Cry (no Can You Take Me Back)
I can only imagine how Paul, George, and Ringo would’ve reacted to that.

Knowing you I thought you’d be more shocked that I put Hey Bulldog and had John sing lead on every song but since you asked here you go, there are quite a few CD’s that can hold 90 minutes, they just sound like 4:33 before you add music onto them and with the power of shortening the time in between tracks as well as slightly speeding the album up by such a small amount it is barely noticeable, you can do it or you can just take out Can You Take Me Back, Revolution 9 , and Good Night .

Tat function as CDs if you need them to, if they are the correct type of disc.
CDs and DVDs are different optical formats. Yes, you can burn audio tracks to a DVD, but it won’t play in a standard CD player.
And if you’re using a DVD, you can fit the whole of the official catalogue on a single disc using MP3 320.

‘Lady Madonna ‘, ‘Hey Bulldog ‘ and ‘Hey Jude ‘ are not outtakes, the first two weren’t even recorded during the ‘The Beatles’ sessions.

Hey Jude isn’t an outtake, how so. I know that Lady Madonna and Hey Bulldog are from the Yellow Submarine sessions but Hey Jude was recorded during The Beatles sessions.

It was always designated as the next single. Outtake suggests, to me at least, it was deemed surplus to requirements and you cannot include ‘Hey Jude in the same category as ‘Not Guilty ‘ and ‘What’s The New Mary Jane ‘.

Funny how opinions can go full circle. When I first posted on this thread, I hated this album and wished that it was a single disc. Now I am ridiculously happy that they kept it as a double and it’s in my top 5 Beatles albums. There is low quality material on here yes, but it all contributes to the effect.

The fact The Beatles is their longest album is partly why it’s so cool. I’m glad they didn’t trim it down. We’d be missing out on a lot of personality and creativity.

Hi everyone- my first post here, and this list was more difficult to make than I expected.
MAYBE I’M DOING THIS BACKWARDS… but these are the 14 songs I would CUT.
Ob la Di ,OB la Da
Why don’t We do It in the Road
Hey Jude ( sacrilege, I know… but to me it’s boring)
——————————————————–
( after this, it gets much harder)
——————————————————-
Rocky Racoon
Everybody’s Got Something To Hide
Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill
Good Night ( this is a hard cut for me- I sang it to my kids when they were going to sleep, so it’s close to my heart)
