Came across this copy in a collection I was given. “The Beatles” is inverted and upside down. It is embossed. Has anyone ever come accross this? The cover itself is in poor shape. The vinyl isn’t too bad. No inserts or posters.

Offline There’s 3 possibilities:
1. You have a counterfeit
2. You’re holding it the wrong way
3. The guy who stamped on The Beatles onto every record made a mistake on the record you just happen to own

Offline I’m not sure how someone could hold it wrong to portray it the way it is?
I doubt it is counterfeit. I’ve spoken to as many local experts as I can and our best geuss is that the paper that gets glued to the jacket was inverted during the pasting process. It is exactly upside down and backwards. Since there is no other known error copies I’d have to say this is a one off rarity.

I don’t know what could have happened. Probably a production error. Being the White Album fanatic I am, this would be awesome to own. That’s a nice little piece for your collection, no matter how it happened.
