Revolver …I mean Rubber Soul …no Revolver …In My Life …Tomorrow Never Knows , it’s Revolver . Though it’s hard to pick between those two.

That one is often my favourite of the day as well. I don’t have a set one, depends on my moods and circumstance.

Yep. Yep. And yep.
In the poll, I voted Revolver because I didn’t see ‘Rubbolver Road’ anywhere…

Magical Mystery Tour seems to really not be favored on here.
Why is that??
I mean it’s right behind Pepper for me as my favorite album.

Well, overall musically, my favorite albums are Rubber Soul and Revolver .
However, when looking at the pure rock’n’roll factor and the most enjoyable album to play guitar to, it must be With The Beatles .
When I feel sad my favorite albums are Help and Abbey Road . Help is just made for that teenage falling-in-love period.
And when I feel like going out in 60’s style, all happy and poppy, A Hard Day’s Night is my go to album. In fact, it’s 3rd overall favorite.

Because of memories attached to each album, it’s very difficult to choose. Rubber Soul , then Revolver , then The Beatles. Haha, but then, I remember when Pepper was 1st played on the radio. My Maniac friend Linda called me and just screamed Beatles! On 60! Now! and hung up. I turned WCAO and for the very 1st time, I heard With A Little Help From My Friends . Yeah, see? So many experiences attached. Uh Oh, then there was a winter weekend I spent at a deserted ocean resort with my buddy Ralph, on mushrooms and we sang Octopus’s Garden while the waves crashed on a frozen beach, waiting for Ringo to come take us away. Haha, tihs is fun!

Depends if your talking about the original U.K. EP “without most of those great singles”, or the U.S. Capitol LP.
I’m a purist and only own the EP & UK Singles, but have to admit for once Capitol records put together a fine LP.

I listen to the 11 track Capitol LP, so that definitely makes it better. I suppose if I listened to the original without the singles that were released it would be nowhere as good.

In a post in the poll topic where I added up the album rankings, I used the “full” version of MMT – because it had great songs that would otherwise have not been included at all. The album ended up 3rd best. Past Masters included most of the other singles-only songs and it ranked fairly high because of them. A couple posts later I discussed the ramifications of not including those singles on the 39 voters’ consensus rankings.
The Capitol version ranked 3rd, the EP version would have been 10th. So it makes a big difference.

I’ve always thought of MMT as the Continuing Story of Lovely Rita Pepper.

The White Album is very easy for me to accept as the impossible choice of choosing a single favorite, essentially because what makes me love the beatles so much is how each song is literally it’s own microcosm on it’s own. That’s why, I don’t find any song to be filler on the White Album , because each song has something to offer. Just as all their other albums do. The White Album has the most songs I listen to repeatedly, and probably the most that I consider my favorite overall.
Happiness is.. Dear Prudence ..Rocky Raccoon ..LongLongLong..Cry Baby Cry …Sexy Sadie ..While my guitar…I will…Mother Nature’s Son …Yer Blues ..Bungalow Bill… I’m So Tired …Good night…
It’s strange but, I’ve actually over time come to enjoy the bookend eras moreso than that central 3 album stretch of Help , Rubber, Revolver , even Sgt Pepper slightly. Not that I won’t get into them ever again, but I enjoy the cynicism of late John because I feel like it’s more his genuine character even if he wasn’t putting that same level of “effort” into his songs almost as if his songs are gesture drawings so feel more emotive, and then their earlier stuff when all of them were just on a rush during beatlemania. I used to think Revolver was my favorite, and it very well may become that again one day.
So, after White Album , I think Hard Day’s Night is my comfortable 2nd. For me, the trio of Happy just to dance with you, Tell me why, and Can’t Buy Me Love are almost unparalleled to me in how great they are. They just sound perfect in what they are doing, for me at least. And the rest of the album is great anyway.
3rd… is tough. So many vie for third. PPM , MMT, Abbey, and Let it Be are all options here. I think personally, MMT does it for me, thanks to Fool on the Hill, I Am The Walrus , Hello Goodbye , and Baby You’re A Rich Man (my personal favorite of the album.) I have alot of friends who think Abbey Road is the best, so I don’t have quite the same connection to it that others do, although Octopus Garden, Oh Darling, and Shes so Heavy is quite the trio for me.
So, White Album , Hard Days Night, then Magical Mystery Tour is my top 3.
