Great arrangement that adds to the ‘Delilah’ sense of drama……..John’s cutting vocal……and quintessential Beatle harmonies ………
Here’s this Italian bloke again……..He’s brilliant and when I want to appreciate a Beatles harmony more I turn to him…….
Here he takes on No Reply …..I think for paul’s part he had to tighten up his underpants somewhat……. I hope they were non-stick, teflon coated.
John and Paul WHAT voices!!!

It’s a hard tie between Rubber Soul and Revolver . These aren’t just great – they’re cool. I’ll never decide for sure.
If I had to pick one tho, would I go with their best early period album… Hard Day’s Night? Probably.
Also, Beatles For Sale is one of my favorite albums too. It has No Reply , which is a friggin great song… and it has my fav song, What You’re Doing . Gotta love that album.

Thats pretty cool, impressive. What does he sing at 1:31, i cant make it out but its not what John sings.
Yes I can’t make it out……..He should sing ‘with another man’ I think’s he’s heard it as ‘walking hand in hand’ I think he’s spot on with the harmonies though.
He does a really good job with them which nothing should be taken away from.

I’ve used the term Rubbolver as I rarely listen to one without the other. However, if push comes to shove, Revolver is 1-A and Rubber Soul 1-B
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

My favourite is The White Album but I’m the same with Rubber Soul and Revolver as Zig and Strawberry Walrus.
I know this is a shocking admission but apart from the above and Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road I don’t even own any other Beatles albums! Which one should I start with? If it’s got screaming on I don’t like it! Thinking about it, I might have to slip Abbey between Rubber Soul and Revolver , but it hardly fits because they are all squished up so.

Depends on what you mean by “screaming”?
I always say start from the beginning and work your way thru so grab ‘Please Please Me ‘.

Thanks 🙂 I think it’s just that I prefer Beatles music when they started experimenting a bit more. So that starts with Rubber Soul for me. I find the Beatlemania period a bit boring and I can’t actually hear much of the music most of the time.

I know that a lot of people dont like their early rock and roll covers and even some of their early original material but in amongst it all there are some very mature tracks that are up there with much of their material from later in their career. ‘All I’ve Got To Do ‘, ‘All My Loving ‘, ‘No Reply ‘, ‘I Should Have Known Better ‘, ‘You’re Going To Lose That Girl ‘, ‘There’s A Place ‘, ‘You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away ‘, ‘It Won’t Be Long ‘, ‘I’m A Loser ‘, ‘If I Fell ‘, ‘Things We Said Today , ‘I’ll Be Back ‘ are only 12 tracks; you could make a double American LP from their first five albums.

That was a nice little stroll through early blossoming genius. Thanks, mmm.
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

For me, it’s “The Beatles” aka album, followed closely by every other freaking thing else the Beatles did!
