Is there anything I’m missing out on from the US albums that aren’t on the UK albums?
The score tracks from A Hard Day’s Night and Help !. That’s pretty much it, assuming you don’t care about alternate track running orders.

Different song versions I care about if they’re different enough. Different running orders I don’t, because I can just use playlists.

‘Help !’ has a 007 style intro on the soundtrack. ‘I’ll Cry Instead ‘ on the ‘AHDN ‘ mono mix (not ‘Something New’) is extended by 30 seconds or so due to a repeated verse.
It depends how far you want to go into the world of alternate mixes.

I never heard the US versions, but hat’s the deal with the stupid titles? I mean…. The Beatles’ Second Album…. Beatles VI…. Yesterday and Today…. Seriously? From what I can tell, Capitol completely butchered the original records, leaving songs off, and creating new records by scraping songs from as many as 4 different UK records together. I can’t understand that. Why couldn’t they just release the UK albums and singles as is?

I think part of it is that certain things didn’t sell as well as the UK.

I prefer the UK mono albums if I had to choose one way to have The Beatles catalog from now on. I enjoy listening to the work that George Martin and others did with The Beatles, and to me, that comes out through the UK monos the most. That’s just me. I do have almost all the US vinyl collection and I like them for listening sometimes for differences when I want a different running order or sound to the tracks.

Earlier today i stumbled across this thread again, so i thought i’d state my opinion on what is better.
Let’s start by comparing the advantages:
US:
They put the singles on the albums which means that you didn’t have to buy the singles if you didn’t want to.
It’s a lot easier to find original pressings of these albums if you’re in the US.
Very nostalgic to 1st generation US fans.
Some material was exclusive to the US, such as the James Bond style intro to Help !, the false start to I’m Looking Through You , the extra verse to I’ll Cry Instead , the orchestral tracks in the US A Hard Day’s Night and Help ! soundtracks, and The Beatles Story.
The US version of Magical Mystery Tour contained 5 extra tracks that the UK didn’t have.
UK:
The way The Beatles intended for their music to be heard.
They didn’t put their singles on the albums which meant that if you bought the singles and the albums, you weren’t getting a single of something that’s already on the album, at least for the most part.
You got 14 tracks to an album in the UK, whereas you got 11 or 12 tracks on a US album.
The mono and stereo mixes were almost always unique, there was no stereo to mono fold downs or Duophonic mixes in the UK unless if it was absolutely necessary.
The UK Revolver includes 3 extra tracks that aren’t in the US version.
Winner:
The winner is the UK albums by far, it’s how The Beatles intended their music to be heard whereas the US albums are essentially compilation albums created to make money off The Beatles popularity.
So congratulations Please Please Me , With The Beatles , A Hard Day’s Night , Beatles For Sale , Help !, Rubber Soul , Revolver , Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The BEATLES, Abbey Road , and Let It Be .
Although i will say that i think we need to have a Yesterday And Today for the UK.
Side A:
4. I Feel Fine
5. I’m Down
Side B:
1. Bad Boy
2. Yes It Is
4. Rain
5. Day Tripper

You have to judge the albums individually, by their own merits. Certain of the US albums are very good. The US Rubber Soul is better than the UK version.

I prefer the UK Rubber Soul , the US version takes out Nowhere Man , which is one of my favorite Beatles songs, as well as Drive My Car , another great Beatles song, and What Goes On and If I Needed Someone , which aren’t as good but still a loss in my opinion and the songs they replace them with are filler tracks. If we’re going to talk about good US albums, i think Beatles 65 and Yesterday And Today are their best as far as the ones released without The Beatles consent.

Although you could argue that Drive My Car doesn’t belong on Rubber Soul because it’s a pop rock song whereas Rubber Soul is a folk rock album, i deeply feel that Nowhere Man was made for Rubber Soul and wouldn’t fit on any other studio album that The Beatles made.

I feel like the early US albums don’t have the individual personality of the UK Albums. This could be because there are more US albums, or that I grew up on the UK albums and am not as familiar with the US albums. Tho I have recently found a love for the Rubber Soul , Yesterday And Today, Revolver Capitol trilogy. Also I do quite like Magical Mystery Tour , but I grew up on that album as apart of the UK albums.

I think that @Ahhh Girl prefers the Capitol Revolver because Paul gets the most tracks.

It’s not really more Paul as much it’s as less John, which gives the illusion of there being more Paul. It’s funny because George actually has more than John on that album.
