Why hasn’t this yet been made available on CD/digitally?
Aside from “The Beatles Movie Medley”, the Christmas tracks are the only previously-released recordings which are still unavailable digitally.
They could release a two disc set, with the second disc containing the remix/edit of “Christmas Time (Is Here Again)” from the Free As A Bird single, followed by outtakes from the various Christmas sessions (there are many available on unofficial bootlegs).
It’s kind of odd that they only reissued the Christmas tracks commercially as 7″ vinyls (especially when the tracks have already been configured into an album previously).
I wouldn’t use the original UK or USA fan club artwork. Both are terrible and extremely un-festive. They could reproduce that original fan club artwork in the CD booklet, along with images of the original flexi disc sleeves.
New artwork would be preferable. Something red & green and simple.
It’s really annoying that official versions of “The Christmas Album” aren’t available.

They were released in a limited edition a few years back, can’t remember if it was vinyl or a CD. There were no bonus tracks and I believe the 1963 message was edited to avoid some copyright issue.
Its probably the best we will get for a good few decades.

Yes, it was released on CD
No, it wasn’t. That is a pirate/bootleg.
The only commercial release of the Christmas messages was a limited edition box set of the original 7 7″ flexis on coloured vinyl in 2017.
They came with the original artwork and a booklet.
There was no official CD or digital release.

A CD version of the box set would be great as well.
Yep. I got that boxset just recently. Lucked out on a mint set.
I’d love to have CD set as well, same with the last Singles release which also only had a vinyl release box.
The christmas boxset is amazingly beautilful though.
