They make some pretty good points, but I think many of their selections are silly or too “on the nose”

I think we should do things that someone who was born in 1967 would like, so I’m going to do just that using Ron Nasty as a baseline, although some of these are guesses.
John, Paul, George, Ringo, George Martin, Mal Evans, Neil Aspinall, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon, Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Fred, Velma, Daphne, Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C-3P0, R2-D2, Ron Nasty, Neil Innes holding a cup of tea, John Pertwee talking to Tom Baker about politics over a cup of tea, a mono copy of Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band, George Taylor, Nova, Caesar, The Louvre, a picture of Google being run on the Opera browser, Yellow Submarine variants of John, Paul, George, and Ringo, a mono copy of Revolver , a Union Jack, and a coffee table with The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions by Mark Lewisohn on it.

…OK, new way of doing this! Choose a person already on the cover…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L….._Club_Band
…and replace them with someone in a similar profession (actor, writer, etc.) of your choosing. And post a nice representative picture of them. And repeat as often as there are people left to replace (but no more than one person per post, please.)
Starting off…instead of Marlene Dietrich, Theda Bara
I’d replace Albert Einstein with Paul Erdös (1913-1996). Here’s a picture:

Von BonteeNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

sir walter raleighI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’d replace Sonny Liston with Muhammad Ali, especially as the Beatles met him,so there’s a nice link there. I’d also have David Bowie on there somewhere,as well as Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix would have looked great on the cover of Pepper in my opinion

I would def choose myself. How cool would it be to be on the cover of one of the best albums of all time?
I also think having a Pepper cover with a lot of people who have associations to the city of Liverpool on it would be amazing, but then again,I am a proud Scouser,so I would say that hahaha. People like Bill Shankly,Ken Dodd,Gerry Marsden just to name a few
