I see that my other choices were Queen Elizabeth II and Bill Gates.
I like VB’s idea of picking people who were alive (or who had been alive) when the album cover was made.
So, strike Bill Gates.
Julie Andrews and Lewis Carroll.

Julie Andrews was very much alive in 1967 (and still is, last I heard). Unless it’s a faux Julie? (Hmmm… doesn’t work as well as Faul…)

SG, I believe AG is replacing Bill Gates with Julie Andrews and Lewis Carroll.
Her original choices were Queen Elizabeth II and Bill Gates.
Her new choices are Queen Elizabeth II, Julie Andrews and Lewis Carroll.
At least, that’s how I read her post.

I’m confused now….
I think Lewis Carroll Charles Dodgeson would make an excellent addition, however.

Lewis Carroll.
He’s already on the cover!
…OK, new way of doing this! Choose a person already on the cover…

…and replace them with someone in a similar profession (actor, writer, etc.) of your choosing. And post a nice representative picture of them. And repeat as often as there are people left to replace (but no more than one person per post, please.)
Starting off…instead of Marlene Dietrich, Theda Bara

Sorry, no ‘biblers allowed! Not you, not myself (-selves), not mr. sun king coming together, not even Joe! (In fact, if I was re-starting this thread today, I’d put in a “no living persons under the age of 65” rule. And probably a few others, depending on how capricious I was feeling at the moment…)

@Ron Nasty, thank you for clarifying my post. In my erratic forays into the forum today, I missed that part of the conversation.
Here’s the post where Joe turned down being on the cover https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..7/#p109129

Okay that was quite a lot. Some contraversial choices but hey it would get people talking.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Klaus, Jürgen and Astrid, for sure!
I’d position them next to Stu in the left hand corner to keep him company.
IMO, I think Julia Lennon and Mary McCartney would be/ have been good choices.
