Offline I got my deluxe box. I’m impressed with the packaging, especially the 3D cover.
I’ve never seen something packaged so well from Amazon, either. It actually had an inner protective box that was taped.

It will be ‘Pepper’ era only as he is there to promote the 50th-anniversary release. Giles is more into the recording side of Beatles, unlikely he’ll know if he’ll be aware of the photo archives.

I’m a terrible, terrible Beatles fan. I’m not deserving of the title. I’m really not!
My copy of the Super Deluxe box was reay to be collected from the post office near my house (a 5-minute walk away) yesterday. I didn’t go. Then today, I didn’t go and collect it, either. The shops are closed tomorrow, so I won’t be able to go get it until Monday! What kind of fan doesn’t take their sleeping bag and camps out at the pick-up point just to get their grubby little paws on that box-set the moment it arrives? I hang my head in shame… 
Having said that, I have listened to the remix and the Deluxe version on Deezer and BLOODY HELL is it good! I was very surprised by She’s Leaving Home , which is considerably faster than what we’ve heard so far. Is that the original speed in which it was recorded? It sounded more natural to me, especially John’s voice. Lovely Rita sounded a bit too chipmunkish to me. Did they record it at half speed to get that effect? It doesn’t sound like Paul’s natural voice at all, but then it never has. It’s a lot more noticeable now, though. Having said that, I was blown away by the clarity of the entire thing. I love how previously buried sounds are now clearly heard and yes, Penny Lane take 6 was a revelation. It was even better to hear the remix version right after that, in which some of those weird sounds can be heard.
I’m very much looking forward to all the bonus material in the Super Deluxe set. Not just the music and stuff, but also the book and the posters. I’m kind of hoping they won’t have such extravagant boxes for the White Album and Abbey Road , though. I might go bankrupt if they do! My guess would be that they most likely won’t do a massive project for Yellow Submarine and LIB , so there’s that….haha.

It becomes like an alternate version of Where’s Wally? – Where the feck’s take 6? and then you spot that piece of machine gun percussion under a roll from Ringo, and you go, “Ooo!”, and start finding fragments less obvious than the last cymbal.

Offline Don’t know if this should go here or not, but the stereo, “She’s Leaving Home ” on the 2017 remix is slightly quicker than the stereo version we have previously known. The disc labeled, “original 1967 mono mix” is the same speed as the new 2017 mix, so it’s slower than the mono version we have known.

Offline From the sounds of it, there are a lot of thumbs up for the new release. Great!!! I have not bought it yet and I will at a later date. I will be listening to the mono and stereo versions on the 2nd, here coming up. I have not listened to any tracks from SPLHCB now for some time now to build the next listen up the excitement of hearing it again!
I do wish I could hear this album all over again for the very first time!!
