That list is highly questionable.
A lot of others are either now complete, instead of being excerpts, eg ‘A Day In The Life take 1, take 6 of ‘Penny Lane , the first take of ‘Within You, Without You’ unless the ‘Anthology’ remixes covers those, which they shouldn’t. ‘Pepper’ take 9 is a major upgrade as well as having clear differences to the acetate.
Presumably take 2 of ‘When I’m Sixty-Four’ is omitted as it can be gleaned from the ‘Rock Band’ moggs. I’d rather have it direct from the vaults.
I bitterly complain about how useless Apple are when it comes to unreleased Beatles music, this release should be applauded as they finally are giving us unreleased, unheard material. If it turns out we are being conned and we are back to the horrors of the ‘Anthology’ sets then I will be banned from this site following my posts.

They could hire this guy to play the John parts.
Just make sure that there are no skits that involve Brian Epstein.
As for George’s vocal parts, give them to either Rusty Anderson and or Brian Ray. As for the Ahhhs in A Day In The Life , whether it’s Paul or John doesn’t matter because it sounds close enough to Paul that he mind as well sing it himself even if it was John.

I’d want to hear Abe Laboriel song George if anybody in Pauls band, but if they’re gonna do ot, they should do it right and have Julian, Sean, and Dhani sing their father’s songs.

Interesting preview of an interview with Giles Martin appearing in the June issue of Mojo, offers glimpses of what to expect:“For Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds , I had this idea of chopping up the keyboard notes so they could be spread across the stereo spectrum. Then you put them all on a plate reverb so the notes don’t sound disconnected. Then I can have the voice in the centre, because I have this stereo keyboard underneath. That’s a good example of mixing ahead in your brain.”
And we are now starting to wonder just how screwed with LitSwD has been. A Variety report on a Capitol listening session held last Tuesday. Giles in attendance, dropped another line about the new mix of LitSwD:
For Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds , the mixing team further enhanced the manipulated sound of Lennon’s voice by deploying additional automatic double-tracking (ADT) to bolster the acid-drenched sound of the song. “His voice is far more screwed around with – I think the term is f—ed with,” Martin said.
Now, I have to admit, I’m not too keen on the idea of additional ADT. Sounds to me like adding to original version rather than remixing the original elements to work better with audio developments. And there are other tracks that it sounds like he may have added to rather than straight remix.
I don’t damn the idea straight out of hand, but it does raise worries about layers added that weren’t there to begin with. It will all depend on just how sympathetic it is to the original mono.
I’m starting to think, with all the manipulation of the original that Giles has admitted to, LitSwD could prove to be the pivotal track on whether he’s got away with this new stereo mix.

I’d love them just to stop remixing all the mixes previously remixed and enhancing all the previously enhanced mixes. I don’t want the Beatles sounding like Coldplay nor Radiohead nor whatever super duper ultra powerfull band nowadays sounds like.
I just want them to give me as much outtakes, alternative takes, studio chattering blahblah as possible. I want to be as close to their creative proccess as i can…
I’m starting to think this is gonna be another remixed mess…

I disagree with this entirely. The little 1 minute snippet of 10 of the songs sounds a multitude better than the 2009 remaster. Besides, if they just give us exactly the same thing as 2009 without changing anything, I’ll be annoyed.

There is a lot of reservation over Giles involvement with any Beatles projects as they all so far have come out very hit and miss. It wouldn’t surprise me if the ‘Pepper’ remixes are the same.
This is not down to the idea of remixing the catalogue, rather how it is done.

Found this on my YT suggestions, a fascinating glimpse back at what the BBC did to celebrate Pepper 10 years ago.
Their big idea on the 40th Anniversary was to re-record the whole album with famous bands taking a track each. The sessions would form the basis of special programming on Radio 2 and a documentary for television. I also seem to remember the suggestion that it would be released to raise for Children in Need (BBC Charity), in a similar way that NME had released Sgt. Pepper Knew My Father back in the ’80s to raise money for Childline.
The twist they had was that the sessions would take place at Abbey Road , on an original four-track machine at that time owned by Mark Knopfler, with Geoff Emerick on the dials.
Everything about the idea thrilled lots of big names, until they tried adapting the way they were used to recording to recording on a four-track. Nearly half the bands/artists dropped out, or were unable to complete their recordings. Only seven tracks were eventually made public.
The TV documentary, which only included the acts who managed to complete their if I remember rightly, showed just how much these bands struggled with making something they were happy with on the recording technology The Beatles had. Well worth seeing if you can ever find it. Not sure it was ever shown more than once.
This is the seven songs they did manage to complete…
(featuring Bryan Adams, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, The Fray, Magic Number, Travis, and Stereophonics)…

Watched this when it was orginally broadcast. To be honest I don’t think they did the majority of the songs any justice. Funnily enough I think the Fray’s rendition of Fixing A Hole might have been the best performance, despite me not having a high opinion of their own stuff. I also thought that Travis’s version of Lovely Rita was decent.

‘Lovely Rita ‘ was good and was interesting to see their reactions to discovering some of the sounds on the record were created thru comb and toilet paper.
It should be remembered more that ‘Pepper’ was made on 4-track with so many bouncedowns and overdubs. To get such an album with such limited technology was an incredible achievement.

Another trick The Beatles did was synch up 2 4 track machines, so they could use them as an 8 track machine, doing this most notably on A Day In The Life .

I thought they did a great job, particularly the rhythm sections! I expected Bryan Adams to eat all that up, but the vocals by the other bands were terrific too.
