Released in 1966, Revolver cemented the Beatles reputation as the leading musical innovators of their time. Considering the wealth of great songs on this album,it may be hard to pick, but which is your favourite song on this album?
Mine personally is For No One . Although it may be one of the lesser known songs on Revolver , but also happens to be one of the best( In my opinion).
What do you think?
And in her eyes you see nothing, No sign of love behind the tears, Cried for no one, A love that should have lasted years.

All equally great songs. Apart from maybe Yellow Submarine .
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

I was listening to For No One while reading your post. To listen to its either For No One of And Your Bird Can Sing . I Also love Tomorrow Never Knows just for the genius behind it.

For No One is a nice choice. For me, it's one of those songs that I forget about until it pops up and I think – “yeah what a great song”.
My favorite on Revolver is Tomorrow Never Knows . As soon as Revolver comes up on my iPod's rotation, I am filled with anticipation, because I know TNK is coming!

Mine would probably be… For No One . Wait , no, it's Tomorrow Never Knows . Actually, maybe it's Got To Get You Into My Life .
Dammit, I can't choose!

No, it's not “Tomorrow Never Knows ,” although it is a great song! My favorites are “And Your Bird Can Sing ,” “For No One ,” and “I Want To Tell You .” Actually, it would probably be safe for me to say all of Side Two (with the exception of “Doctor Robert ” and “Got To Get You Into My Life , of course!), along with “She Said She Said .”

But… Tomorrow Never Knows is genius! It's such a perfect way to end the album!
I love She Said She Said , For No One and And Your Bird Can Sing , but I think my overall favourite has to be I'm Only Sleeping. I love how it sounds almost dreamlike.
To be honest though, I don't think I can actually fault Revolver ! Not much anyway. Definitely one of my favourite Beatles albums. 🙂

I didn't say I didn't like it. (THAT was mr. Sun king coming together.) I just said it wasn't my stand-out favorite. It's hard to pick a favorite Revolver song!

Sorry! I was replying to what Mr Sun King Coming Together said, I'm just useless and didn't quote it.

If you are a Beatles fan, you are not useless.
I hate it because it is a strange and tuneless song featuring a not-so-great Lennon vocal

I don't think John wanted it to be a great vocal. More like, well,
like he was being hung upsidedown and spun around a microphone. Its the
whole introduction of tape loops, samples, the leslie speaker, the
backwards guitar seagull noises, and Ringo's beat that make the song
such a masterpiece.
It is very LSD influenced both
Lyrically and probably musically, so if the whole psycadelic style of
sound is not your style, I can see why you would not like it.
Also,
I want to change my favorite Revolver song to I'm Only Sleeping. I
listened to all of Revolver inbetween classes today, and I love love
love that song.

I can't choose!!!!!!!!! I love that whole album waaaaaaaaay too much to choose just one song. Revolver is my favorite album anyway. But if I absolutely had to it would probably be Here There And Everywhere . But that was really really hard to choose. So many amazing songs on that album.

TNK isn't a great song? That's like saying Strawberry Fields isn't a great song and NO ONE “big or small” believes that.
I'm reading through all of these posts and I keep saying, yeah I agree with that one, and then I'll move on to the next one and say, yeah I agree with that one, so maybe that's the point, Revolver is just incredible.
But my favorite song would have to be Love You To , the intro is like a breath of fresh air. Or Here, There, and Everywhere which I just learned on my uke and so I've been pretty obsessed with it recently.

Revolver is my favorite album and I like every song, but Here, There, and Everywhere gets to me. The lyrics are absolutley wonderful.

I think the only weak points on Revolver are Dr. Robert and Tomorrow Never Knows or Yellow Submarine , depending on how you look at it.
