Theoretically all you have to do to go back in time is to run faster then the speed of light! Don’t worry I believe you can do it!

Jumping off a very high cliff would give you a damn good start at reaching such a speed. Of course there is the problem of impact and being splattered but according to lots of crap i hear on tv and in music nowadays if you believe you can do it you can, nothing is impossible, so good luck.
Disclaimer? Sorry but if you’re that thick to try the above then you’d be too stupid to understand a disclaimer so tough.

Doesnt matter the price to me. If it works i’ll pay you intermediately after travelling to the year 2019 when i have become a millionaire thru winning the £479m lottery rollover. I’m happy to insert this clause in the contract.

I guess this is the right place to put this. I was recently given a two-record set released on Pickwick, called something like The Beatles’ First Live Recordings (Hamburg 1962). I remember reading about some legal proceedings concerning these albums. I don’t honestly know whether I have mp3s of them or not. But on the back of the cover it says that 100,000 dollars was spent to restore the sound, and then Pickwick did further work on the songs. I wonder if they are any good.

I havent heard that Pickwick release but the best and most substantial improvement in sound quality for the Star Club ’62 recordings is ‘Zu Laut! Live At The Star-Club Hamburg‘. Its actually quite amazing the improvement in this release – and you can get it here.

Has this been mentioned yet? Concierto en Madrid (Google Translate version) – someone has the tapes of The Beatles’ 1965 concert in Madrid, and is releasing a limited edition vinyl/CD edition, and supposedly putting the whole thing online too.
Here’s some more info from WogBlog:
Spanish music site Efe Eme reports that a recording of The Beatles’ concert in Madrid, Spain from 2 July 1965 at Plaza de toros Las Ventas is to be officially released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the show. The Beatles: Concierto en Madrid will be a limited edition 220 gram vinyl album on Cocodrilo Records, also containing the contents of the album on an accompanying CD. Included will also be a book containing 50 photographs of the Beatles in concert and in their hotel, by the photographer Francisco Barahona. The concert will also be accessible online for free.
The concert was officially recorded with Brian Epstein’s permission (a signed contract still exists) on a Grundig reel-to-reel on 2 channels with four AKG microphones, and mixed live. The concert consists of these songs:
- Twist And Shout (Medley-Russell)
- She’s a Woman (Lennon-McCartney)
- I’m a Loser (Lennon-McCartney)
- Can’t Buy Me Love (Lennon-McCartney)
- Baby’s in Black (Lennon-McCartney)
- I Wanna Be Your Man (Lennon-McCartney)
- A Hard Day’s Night (Lennon-McCartney)
- Everybody’s Tryin’ to Be My Baby (Perkins)
- Rock And Roll Music (Berry)
- I Feel Fine (Lennon-McCartney)
- Ticket To Ride (Lennon-McCartney)
- Long Tall Sally (Johnson-Penniman-Blackwell)
The concert was recorded by José Luis Alvarez, and is described to be in great quality.
I’d quite like to buy a copy of the vinyl release, but I haven’t been able to track where it’ll be on sale. Are there any Spanish speakers here who could help?

I mentioned it in the news thread Joe. I never thought of putting in here too.
I dont get copyright laws but i wouldn’t be surprised if Apple are looking to see if they can stop it coming out, especially if they feel it steps on their Live project – but hey it’s Apple, they like giving lawyers work, so they’ll try regardless.

Thanks both. Sorry I missed the post in the news thread.
That Spanish site looks very shabby, and the web link in the contact section takes me to some Japanese site. Not sure I’d be comfortable handling over my credit card details.

I wonder if anyone else has The Pete Best Story: http://www.petebest.com/music/…..irate.aspx
I found a copy in a junk store, really kind of a permanent garage sale across from some really nasty housing projects in San Francisco in the late ’70s. Clear red vinyl; the original owner had used a Sharpie to write the track names on the blank label, calling it “Best of Best.” They pasted period newspaper pictures on the (also blank) outer jacket, with captions and track info, then apparently decided they didn’t like that, sliced open the jacket and re-did it on the unfinished inside surface, turned it inside out and taped it back together. Whew!
The disc is in reasonably good shape, probably a VG-. Plays with no skips but occasional minor clicks and pops. I put it in a plastic sleeve to protect the photos.
No idea what it might be worth; it’s not for sale. I’ve never seen another copy though, and I’ve looked on ebay many times. Anyone else have info on this?
Track list:
A01 The Way I Feel About You (2:00)
A02 If You Can’t Get Her (2:21)
A03 Last Night (2:05)
A04 Why Did You Leave Me Baby? (1:59)
A05 Shimmy Like My Sister Kate (2:00)
A06 I Need Your Loving (2:29)
A07 Nobody But You (2:07)
A08 I Can’t Do Without You Now (3:00)
B01 Boys (2:24)
B02 Kansas City (2:30)
B03 Casting My Spell (1:58)
B04 Wait And See (2:00)
B05 Some Other Guy (1:55)
B06 I’m Blue (3:10)
B07 She’s Allright (2:22)
B08 Keys To My Heart (2:10)
Best to all,
Mike

I’ve sent a few emails. One to the people from Efe Eme to see if they can give me any contact info from Jose Luis, and another one to cocodrilo-records, but not much faith in getting any answer. I’ll keep you updated anyways

The release of the 2nd July 1965 Madrid show (above) was bogus, a con, a big pile of steaming poo, and a bad smelly pile at that. A lot of people were seriously pissed off at paying for it. Forget about it; some people are still trying to.
