I love this album, but there’s one thing I don’t understand; why does everyone always hate on A Taste Of Honey ? There’s definitely better material on the album, but I think it’s a really nice song, and a great Paul vocal.
Oh man I’m so late for this but I love that one @50yearslate.

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Ehhhhh. I like the energy of it, I’m just not hip to Ringo’s vocals.

I like them when they’re well suited to the song, and when the song in question is actually any good

I’m not a huge fan of Ringo’s voice, but I always the Boys was one of his better performances.

I’m sorry QuarryMan, as the forum’s number 1 Ringo fan for 2 years running, I must remind you that
1. Ringo’s vocals are great (not the autotuned ones though)
2. It’s so warm and cuddly to listen to
3. (to keep this post on topic) Boys has lots of energy, and he keeps that going.
4. Very few songs he sang were bad songs. Good Night springs to mind, but that wasn’t his fault.
5. RINGO

Actually, Good Night is one of those I consider to be a great song out of the Ringo numbers
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,

That Ringo sang as well as he could while simultaneously drumming remains a marvel to myself

13. A Taste Of Honey – Don’t really understand the hate on this song. Paul really does a great job, giving us a bit of a bitter taste opposed to the title of the song. It really is a song that is unexpected, on the album. As most of the songs on here are very upbeat and lively. This one stands out as the one song with a different tone compared to the rest of the album.
14. Boys – NO offense to Ringo, he does a great job here.
I love all the songs though, honestly. I hate people who rate this album low because this is the Beatles first album… Such an unfair way to compare albums like Revolver , SPLHC, and RS to albums like Please Please Me lol.

“There’s a place” and “Ask me why”. Ask me why is one that i really like, I think it’s a fabulous song, very tricky. it seems amazing that it was written by a beginner composer.

I actually love There’s a Place, and Ask Me Why and find myself binge listening to them on a daily. Honestly, I prefer them over Twist And Shout most of the time.
