LOVE has got itself a new trailer for 2018
A fun little fact for you all, the Sgt. Pepper Reprise “breakdown” dance in LOVE is the dance that you learn if you’re doing dancing callbacks for Cirque. It’s one of the trickiest, if not the trickiest songs that Cirque have ever choreographed so if you can nail it, you’re a very skilled dancer, and Cirque may hire you for one of their shows.

WE GOT TO DO VIP! IT WAS SORT OF LIKE A GRADUATION PRESENT. IT WAS EXPENSIVE BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT.I assume some poor mod will have to approve this post because of the number of pictures.
Oh and pics in the spoiler.
so before the show I went to the gift shop, and got these.
Then an hour before there’s a backstage tour for VIP. Funnily enough my parents I were the only ones there, so it got to be a small tour. I got to take a bunch of cool pics backstage.
Saw this in the elevator as we entered.
First thing we saw was the golden Beetle.
28IF reference!
Cool Yellow Submarine thing.
Cool drumset thing someone wears.
It’s the poster! It was kind of cool the tour guide explained that the song was really special to the show because the Beatles made a song celebrating the circus, and now there’s a circus celebrating the Beatles.
This one ended up blurry but it’s a cute moving drumset, and it has floor sensors that keep it from falling off the stage.
These are the umbrellas and they have really tiny smoke machines in them.
This is the show breakdown I believe.
This is a quick change area. The 2 red costumes are for the drunk ladies.
This is used for Octopus’s Garden . It takes 2 days to wash, so unlike most things that get washed at the end of the 2 shows every day, this only gets washed a few days a year.
Sgt. Pepper wears this in the show, and it weighs 60 pounds.
This is the White Beetle they use for the crash
And they have the back up beetle above.
This is where the skaters get to practice the stage one is much skinnier.
Here are the Blue Meanie costumes! They were added into the show when it got revamped in 2016. Also apparently Stella McCartney took selfies in the costume when Paul brought her to the show.
This is what the stage looked like for me!
This is a cool bench that all the people working there signed. They joked that if you look hard enough you’ll find Paul and Ringo, but it was pretty clear no one famous has signed the bench. Still cool tho.
And here’s Mr. Kite during preshow.
Also some cool things that I don’t have pictures of that I can’t send:
There was the Sgt Pepper album photo thing that they had out for the 50th anniversary backstage, and I got to take a picture with it.
We also got to talk to 2 cast members. One played the Eggman, and the other was a dancer. We got to take a picture with them on the skating area, and we got that photo as special thing after the show.
I also want to say that I went into this show as blind as possible. I avoided listening to the soundtrack until it was the “right time” though I didn’t realize what that would be. I’m just really happy I got to experience it like this.
Reposting here for topicalness.

So after watching LOVE I decided I should listen to the soundtrack, and noticed a a few significant differences between what I saw and that. I assume most if these discrepancies are because of the 2016 revamp.
There’s no Julia after Eleanor Rigby
There’s no I Am The Walrus .
Blackbird gets a whole song and us completely separate from Yesterday .
The transition from TNK/WYWY to Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds definitely seemed longer when I watched it.
Can You Take Be Back doesn’t follow Come Together /Dear Prudence .
Side note there was a part I remember that had It’s All Too Much for a bit but I couldn’t hear it in the soundtrack.
Also there were studio chatter bits. I assume these were in the original show and just left off the soundtrack though I can’t be sure.
Here’s the song playlist for the show I saw. For reference Drive My Car still had The Word and What You’re Doing , and the Parade is the Hello Goodbye part of Strawberry Fields Forever .

The studio bits have always been there.
As regards the removal of IATW, that’s interesting, it was a cool part of the original show (with what little official footage we have).
Did you get to go under the tent thing during Tomorrow Never Knows ? And most importantly, did you see the Yellow Submarine floating around under it? @Tangerine

A bit belated— I saw it
@AppleScruffJunior I don’t think I saw the Submarine (unless it was like a projection on the fabric in which case I may have seen it and forgot) but I definitely went under the tent.
I also collected many handfuls of those streamers they throw at the end and the tea dude poured his smoke on my dad
Love one another.

Nice.
The tea dude is Doctor Robert by the way @50yearslate. The tea is “spiked.”
I assumed the guy with the Kite was Mr. Kite but apparently he’s the fool.
@AppleScruffJunior the only time i saw a yellow submarine was when the 4 “kids from Liverpool” were riding in a cart with the yellow submarine i sent a picture of on it. Don’t quite remember what part of the show that even was. Might check later to see if there’s a pic of it in the program I bought.
I was under the tent though and we were able to reach up to touch it.

Just found a brilliant amateur recording of the A Day In The Life section of LOVE.

All the people cheering at the end is very off-putting though, it’s meant to be sad and you just hear people whooing as broken Julia is falling to the crowd.
