Thank you ExTex!

It’s funny how people can become so famous that after they’re dead their clothes are on display. The whole experience seems very cool. The R E V O L U T I O N chairs are interesting, for those who didn’t notice, the L and E are backwards so when looking from the other direction it says L O V E.

I have the Love album, and it was a really amazing listening experience, I can almost imagine how mind-blowing the show must’ve been.

Hope I can see it sometime. Glad you enjoyed it!

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

Can buy Joe love!

Hey, I didn’t notice that about the letters! I knew they were backwards for some reason.

Really good catch, @Mr. Kite. I knew we gave you the clipboard for a reason.

I’m so glad you enjoyed the show, @Expert Textpert!

@Expert Textpert I thought you might not have noticed since you didn’t go in.

I saw that the L was backwards and looked closer at the others to see the same about the E, and then it made sense since O and V are the same!

@Ahhh Girl Well I can’t let you down, being the honorary clipboard holder and all, can I?

Me also, especially since most of what I know is from The Police song J’aurais Toujours Faim De Toi (Hungry For You).

I gather however that ASJ said:

The Love show is going to be changing.

Jerry also confirmed a major refresh for “The Beatles Love” at the Mirage ahead of its 10th anniversary this year with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr set to attend.

“ ‘Love’ is undergoing a major refresh right now. We’ll go down mid-February and come back at the end of February with a whole refreshed version of the show, then have a grand celebration probably in June,” said Jerry in our interview.

“ We’re going to add elements over the next couple of months, technological stuff, then in June we’ll do another red carpet event around Paul McCartney and Ringo’s schedule for the 10th anniversary.

“Yoko and Olivia have been quite involved, Paul and Ringo at more of a distance, but the women are very involved in it. They’ve been around all the time running support and adding creative input.”

@Expert Textpert, do you think you might go to see it again when the new version is out?

I thinks it’s always been constantly changing- I remember a Reddit AMA before that said at the beginning it had a proper story line to it about a boy who wanted to find love or something along those lines but as time went on it just because more of an acrobatics and dance show to Beatles music.

Still cool though a-hard-days-night-paul-7

I wonder what it will be about next and if they’ll add/remove songs?

Oh, I see, changes in February and red carpet in June, but not scheduled yet.  I need to know when that red carpet event is happening and if it’s possible to attend it or be near it. Mrs. Textpert wants to go and see Paul and Ringo.

I got as close as the lineup.  It was sold out when I went to Vegas, so I just visited the store.  Didn’t buy anything either.a-hard-days-night-paul-7

Wogblog has details of changes to the show premiering on the 25th February. Biggest interest for me is the new remixing of the music.

Sound bites and video
There were sound bites of the Beatles in the original show; one of the big changes is that there will be more of them now, and much more video of the four band members. “They’ll be more present via imagery,” said Champagne. “A year and a half ago, they gave us access to their entire audio-visual library, which was not the case in the very beginning.”

Acrobatics
“Love” is one of the least acrobatic Cirque shows, but Champagne feels the time is right to add a couple of big acrobatic numbers.

Music
There will also be a few changes in the music. Giles Martin is also doing new remixes of the songs, taking into account changes in technology over the past decade. Champagne didn’t want to reveal too much, but did say that “Twist And Shout ” has been added and “I Am The Walrus ” dropped. “Twist And Shout ” was in the initial plan for “Love”, but the Beatles didn’t have the right to use it at the time because it’s not their original song. “It’s such a strong vocal performance from Lennon, and it’s the kind of song you’d hear at a 30-year-old’s wedding today,” said Champagne. “We hope that the Cirque du Soleil dancers will relaunch the twist with the act.”

Interesting that they didnt have the rights to ‘Twist And Shout ‘ back in 2006.

OMG “I Am The Walrus ” is gone? Well as long as they don’t remove “Here Comes The Sun ” I’m good… that’s one of my favorite parts of the show.

I wonder if that isn’t something to do with the publishing rights, as you need the permission of the song publisher to make any significant changes to a song, and it’s likely other bits will be flown from other Beatles recordings as happened with most Love versions. I note that it’s now published by Sony/ATV Music, which would put it with the same publisher as owns the rest of The Beatles publishing.

And does this mean there could be a revised Love release on the way?
