I suspect not. It feels like they’re already doubling up on too many songs on Vol 2, and a third volume would be really scraping the barrel. Personally I’d rather see a fourth Anthology, as there must be masses of good-quality stuff in the vaults that nobody’s ever heard.
Btw, here’s a hastily-cobbled-together page on the Vol 2 album. I’ll add to it as more info emerges. I’ll also update the list of The Beatles’ radio recordings when I know precisely what’s on the album.

I’m mainly interested in this: I Feel Fine (studio outtake)Correct me if I’m wrong, but AFAIK they only recorded I Feel Fine once, but the same version was broadcast twice, on 26 November and 26 December 1964. So is this completely new, not even on the bootlegs? I don’t have the complete BBC set, so I don’t know what’s in circulation.
The “Top Gear” studio tape emerged a few years back containing I Feel Fine and She’s A Woman , including some interesting chat between them and the control room (especially John). So while the take is the same, I should imagine it’ll include some of the studio dialogue.

Offline A 17 second fragment from the Top Gear (show #20) recording sessions of I’ll Follow The Sun was put online a couple of years ago, recorded on the 17th November 1964 (same sessions as I Feel Fine and She’s A Woman ) so we know more of that session exists. We also have the From Us To You #4 recording session tapes which gave us clean versions of the broadcast tracks along with an I Should Have Known Better false start and single tracked vocal, the backing track for I’m Happy Just To Dance With You and a From Us To You outtake.
It should be noted that the I Feel Fine outtake on the bootlegs is not complete, fading at 1:26, and has a single-tracked vocal (it was aired in 1988 on The Beebs Lost Beatles Tapes as was a false start and some studio chat). I guess the outtake on Volume 2 will be complete.
There is next to no chance of a BBC Volume 3, the only possibility would be another kind of archive release which touched on these like when Anthology 1 included Lend Me Your Comb.

Interesting. I wonder if the photoshop artist had been told to lengthen the tie from the original or had taken some creative license. I can only imagine the kind of intense official discussions that went into such details.

Offline I’d guess that they were attempting to match George’s tie with John and Ringo’s in the earlier version of the cover, and then one of those who have to clear these things objected so they reverted to the original photograph.

New photos, new graphics, new liner notes (unamazing though those are bound to be, and probably unamusing too, with Derek Taylor no longer around to spin his webby weavings of wordings). We want to hold the slick, shining, dreamy thing in our hands, smell the newness, feel the cream of luxe surfaces, ogle the pix and go to bed dreaming of Beatle teeth.
That’s why, that’s it, and that’s a lot. The look, feel, entire physical reality of Beatle-ness has always been a big part of the joy of owning their product, of buying it freshly minted, living with it, having it unto old age. Beauty and novelty are wonderful, sustaining things, and there was never anything so beautiful and novel as You Know Whom.

I am usually against colorisation of anything, but that pic looks fresh and clean, rather than the usual drab mess most of them turn out to be.

Offline I have been thinking about this over the last few hours and sad as it is and despite every feeling of this being such a let down I know i’m going to give in and buy the damn thing for the same old reason – its the Beatles. And Apple know this. They know idiots such as me will bitch and moan and blacken their name but do they give a fig? Of course not. They know fine will they will get my money and that is all they care about.
Its like loving a gold digger. You know fine well they are after you for only your cash, they don’t truly give a fig about you, but still you keep coming back and splashing the cash and remain wrapped around their finger. And you feel so pathetic about it at times you despise that part of you.

Offline Was looking at the tracklist details over at Wogblog and noticed that Devil In Her Heart is down as being from Pop Go The Beatles #15 not PGTB #10 which is the performance included on the Baby Its You EP.
