I love the songs, but my favorite part of those albums are the speeches.
I have just listened to Disc 1 for the very first time – and the speeches ARE fun. The overall quality was really good with a lot of really good tracks, even better than I had imagined it would be – I’m looking forward to Disc 2 and that Ann Margret song
So many great songs already – hard to choose a best one – I’ll see how I go after I have heard them all a couple of times.

The lyrics in ‘Don’t Ever Change’ spoil it a bit for me. Can’t help but cringe at the ”your kisses let me know you’re not a tomboy” line. Sorry, but even George’s voice can’t make me like that one much.
I particularly love ‘Long Tall Sally ‘ and ‘Lucille ‘.

Actually, it’s more the fact that they try and rhyme it with ”know” (I think) that I don’t like. It just doesn’t go. It’s an okay song, quite sweet.

If we’re sticking simply to the official release:
I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Cry Over You – Ringo’s drumming is awesome!
Too Much Monkey Business – rocks!
I Got a Woman
Soldier of Love – what a vocal from John!
To Know Her Is to Love Her – those harmonies!
Some Other Guy – early heavy rock
I’ll Be On My Way – a sweet, lost original
Lonesome Tears in My Eyes – I love the groove and John’s vocal
I’m sure there are others I’m forgetting.

Their cover of Ann Margret’s I Just Don’t Understand had me going back to the start of the song so many times for another listen.
The run of covers from Sweet Little Sixteen to So How Come (No One Loves Me) is pure undiluted listening joy. Live At The BBC has so many highlights.
Does Live at the BBC become On Air Volume 1 in October?

That’s what I meant. Thanks.
Cant say i’m fond of the new name, should just ditch “On Air”, what’s wrong with Live At The BBC vol. 1 and 2?

I so agree with you – the new name is just too long for no apparent reason. Maybe they are hoping to fool the odd buyer into thinking it is a new record.

Also a slightly new cover.
If they had any sense Apple would put out a bundle with both LPs at a cheaper price for those who wanted both, I doubt it tho. Surely some retail stores will do a discount say £12/13 each, £20 for both, maybe we will see each one going for £10 anyway. The Beatles Store UK has each set at £15.99 . Silly price if you ask me.

I just recently bought this after buying Live at BBC 2 first.I really enjoy both the songs and the speeches. One of my favourite songs is “Young Blood”. I love George’s voice on it and I love how John says “what’s your name” so goofy. Awesome
I also love Young Blood very much.
Paul’s voice is perfect on Long Tall Sally , always gets me moving. Matchbox is also a fun listen, I like the guitar on that song.

As others have stated. it’s really tough to pick. I especially love all of the Chuck Berry covers and if I had to go with one it’d be ‘Sweet Little Sixteen’, such an excellent performance all around from vocals down. Honorable mentions go to ‘That’s All Right Mama’ & the version of ‘Boys ‘ on the new disc is really heavy, it goes on for a little longer and could very well be Ringo’s best vocal performance ever…:-)

SO in love with “I’m Talking About You” on Volume 2 right now.
These albums are great, I love the live feeling you get listening to them.
Good feels.
