A 45″ box would be a great and simple idea for Apple as it wouldnt affect Brand Beatles and would sell decent amount as collectors would buy it – low risk. I have the ’88 CD EP box and thought it was great.

I would have no problem with seeing modern equivalents of the earlier vinyl 7-inch and EP boxes. The problem with @Bongo’s idea of this “Super Box” is that, if I have understood him correctly, the suggestion is for a single vinyl box set that includes the albums, the singles, and the EPs. The cost of that would be prohibitive. The vinyl stereo box is already around £300 (give or take), and I would suggest that were they also to include the singles and EPs, that price would be at least double.
It’d be nice to see companion boxes of the singles and EPs that you could buy to go along with your LP box, as and when you could afford them, but a single box including the lot would be unaffordable to the vast majority of fans.

Those companion box sets are already out there, they just need to be remastered like the new mono set. People are paying large amounts for these box sets as it is, so they would sell. People who can’t afford usually wait until a used set pops up. BUT YES, IT WOULD BE STEEP!
I think of the 60’s and you are showing off you record collection as a whole, there would not have been a Past Masters disc. It is just so un-original.

I myself have no problem with Past Masters or Mono Masters. I like that they collect together all the non-album material for approx. £30/£40 apiece. I know that a singles box and an EP box would probably cost at least £150 each.
As I said, I see no problem, and would welcome, a singles box and an EP box being issued using the Remasters. I would not want to see people being denied of the cheaper alternative though, and having to buy them to complete their collection. Vinyl is a niche market, singles and EPs on vinyl are even more niche. They would sell, but in much smaller figures than the album set.
The majority of fans, I believe, are happy to have it all on vinyl (if vinyl is their preferred medium). A smaller group would want the more fiddly formats, where you get one or two songs a side. And let us be honest, in the end, what we are discussing here is not content but packaging. I’m happy to have them collected together and pay less, than have them as originally packaged and have to pay much more.
Be nice to see collectors boxes for those that can afford them, but the majority are happy to have the sounds and aren’t overly bothered about the sleeve or size of the record.

True. It all comes down to what you want. Your happy with the Past Masters , and I’m not. And yes there is no doubt such a box set would be expensive. That’s a given.
I’m curious about that Apple USB flash drive, how they presented it. Did it include a Past Masters or every 45, EP individually like I have my iTunes canon??????

Well unfortunately, Apple just added the Past Masters to this. They had a chance to ad LPs and 45s the way the Beatles released them in the 60’s and chose the easy way out. What a shame! They could and should have done the canon route.
Oh well, I think I’ve said more than enough on this subject and am happy to have it the correct way in my iTunes.

I find it sad that a huge band in musical history, like The Beatles, has had nothing released for the 50 year(s) anniversary for each album or anything for that matter. Even if it is just a repackage of each albums for 2009 with a collector tin or something. I know the US boxset was released in 2014 which was 50 years of them coming over to America for the first time, but why just America? What happened to UK being THE DISCOGRAPHY of the Beatles. I think they missed a great chance here for fans today because a lot of them won’t even see the 100th anniversary.

Apple did nothing for any of the 20th year anniversaries until ‘Pepper’s’ in 1987 when we got the first CD releases and the catalogue being set down and unified, it may be the same for the 50th. I think they also overlooked 25 years. There was going to be a ‘White Album ‘ 30th year anniversary box set but that got cancelled and replaced by a pen – it was a very fancy pen.
Note: My memory is wrong. Apple gave us the limited edition ‘White Album ‘ in 1999 for its 30th. There was definitely a box set tho and it was definitely replaced by a pen., i just forget the year.

I didn’t think about the 25th anniversary for these things… even more lame now………….

I’d like to see all future Beatle releases be issued free to all Beatles Bible posters.
But seriously folk, if not mentioned already, I’d like to see that collection of Beatle promo clips released on DVD as a stand alone product. I have no interest in buying the music CDs of songs I already have.
Actually, I have the two volume Beatles Chronology of promo clips which is good enough for me. I picked this up at a record show. But this more on behalf of those who would like to get the promo clips and that alone.
You are all my friends.

Right here, and it’s “almost as good quality” as the Beatles 1+ Blu Ray (But nothing in 4K) http://www.kvideodvd.com/index…..t_id=31560 Blu Ray $59 CND. And you get every video released, with every version.
Of course it’s a bootleg…
Here is everything they have on the Beatles in Blu Ray http://www.kvideodvd.com/index…..cts.search

Some sort of Blu-Ray collection would be nice. Huge audio files with no compression at all.
I would like to see a “post Beatles” collection. All the albums, starting with the Red and Blue albums to include all the “greatest hits” and collections. They would have few, if any at all, new mixes, but it would be cool to have mini sleeves to match the stereo and mono box sets.

I’d like a release with every spoken word/discussion/conversation they had when working on their music along with every single take they did of every single track in every album/single/EP… Together with a nice book covered with every picture of them in the studio…
I wouldn’t mind if it’s in a box or in different volumes
But i want it so badly…

I’d imagine some of the Beatles takes were comped right? Like pieces of different takes combined to make one final take? I’m sure not as prevalent as today but wasn’t that the case with “Strawberry Fields” or maybe another song . . it was a Lennon song and the takes were in a different key and John wanted to use both takes and George was like “this can’t be done” and John was like “you can do it” and George was like “well you’re right I probably can, I’m George Martin” and did it

Just Strawberry Fields Forever as far as I know, but yes, it went like that.
