I personally find “Help !” to be one of their best albums, I don't know if that's just personally but it includes not only some of their best known work, including the crowd favorite “Yesterday ” but has an extremely solid tracklist in general. Though you could argue that all of their albums before “Rubber Soul ” are underrated, something that is probably true, but I feel that this is one of the albums that I could easily see be just as appriciated as the others. So just to stop whining about the world not agreeing with me, I'll conclude by saying that I love me some “Help !” and I hope others do as well, because that would be swell.
And I'll try to post something soon rather than just create topics.

Help is bogged down by the covers and by A few filler songs, Which I Love, (i.e. It’s Only Love , Night Before, Tell Me What You See )

I like Help !, but it just isn't on the same level as some of their later stuff.

Can’t say that I like Help as much as I like Rubber Soul for example, but I still love it! Love every song on that album except for Dizzy Miss Lizzy , but I think that’s mainly because I don’t like that it’s right after Yesterday ..

Yeah, that wasn't a very nice move, would rather want a calm and nice ending than have a calm and nice feeling sort of pushed away by John, flexing his rock and roll muscles.
Personally I think it could randomly work right after “Act Naturally ” or something like that.

Mhh to be honest, I don't listen to Help ! that much (I haven't tried to upload all Beatles albums onto my mp3 player… but then I'd have to delete some Paul, George and John's solos) but since I see this topic I decided to listen to it at home.
I think it's a very good album. But maybe we don't mention it much because it doesn't have an Amazing-Beatle-song™ (except from Help !, Ticket To Ride and Yesterday ). But IMHO You've got to hide your love away (amazing John!!), The night before, You're going to lose that girl, It's Only Love, I've Just Seen a Face (amazing Paul!!) and I need you are fantastic, not just “fillers”
Or maybe we compare it to AHDN which is an amazing soundtrack. I dunno.
And before you say something against I need you, it's a George song, it's about love and he says “I need you”. Your argument is irrelevant.

I thought the 'Help ' Album was good. I personally prefer the original motion picture soundtrack release that came out in the US. I know most fans didn't like the instrumental songs and felt they got ripped off but I actually like hearing some of the sounds from the movie itself. Side two of the British version for me just seemed like a whole other album but I do like the Bristish version as well but just prefer the US soundtrack.

Your going to lose that girl is accually my favorite Beatles song ever. I love the haunting (as I like to call it) harmonies and the whole point of the song. Help ! is a good album. I really enjoy it.

I love Help ! To me, none of the songs are fillers. It literally is a good album. It is a good indication at the direction they were going in. Just the fact that there were only 2 covers just shows that they were growing. Also the song material was getting very grown up. Holding hands was officially out the window (Another Girl really shows that). But I love this album. The movie was my first introduction to the album and my love for it hasn't faltered since.

Help ! has got to be one of my favorite albums. Pretty much all the albums between 1965-1967 are my favorites. I love listening to I've Just Seen A Face especially. A song about love yet does not contain the word love is pretty genius I think. Especially for them. It has a lot of great songs, there are really only two that don't particularly stand out to me. Those being You Like Me Too Much and Tell Me What You See . Which are surprisingly one right after the other.

I prefer it over SPLHCB and MMT. 1967 was a weird year for my liking.

For me, each Beatles album has a certain feel to it.
HELP! to me, is filled with anticipation. From the very first shouts of the title, I am eagerly awaiting the Dylanesque You've Got To Hide Your Love Away. Then, can't wait for the jangly guitar opening of Ticket To Ride . When that song is over, I can't wait to hear I've Just Seen a Face and Yesterday back-to-back.
This may lead you to believe that I find the rest of the album to be filler. Not so. I enjoy every song on the album. Even the much maligned Dizzy Miss Lizzy . That song has meaning for me for reasons best left for another thread. The bottom line is, each and every Beatles song has meaning for someone some way, so to call any of their songs filler seems a bit careless. I say that, because I myself have been guilty of such carelessness in the past.
Lastly, when the final strains of DML are fading out, I am anticipating the opening guitar of Drive My Car and the rest of Rubber Soul and beyond.
So, to answer the original question posed by this thread, there is my love for HELP!

They didn't end with All You Need Is Love though, Capitol did. They ended with Blue Jay Way (which admittely is also a slow song, so your point still stands).
