O.K Two years after my last playlist I’ve just finished a disc 2 of “Beatles Through The Years”
1 Do You Want To Know A Secret
9 You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away
10 You’re Going To Lose That Girl
11 In My Life
12 Nowhere Man
15 When I’m Sixty Four
16 Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite
Hope Somebody Likes it. Just burned it to CD, so I now have a double CD for the car.

Finally got around to listen to @Elementary Penguin’s playlist and I really love it! Leave My Kitten Alone is just the perfect opener with these three crazy chords at the beginning! And the sequences from I Am The Walrus to And Your Bird Can Sing is particularly good – I like it a lot how the semi-aggressive Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey comes after the daydream Octopus’s Garden , that’s like a call back into reality.
I’ve created a playlist with songs in which the Beatles directly or indirectly criticise aspects of politics or society. The order is not ideal yet but here it is:
1.Side:
A-side
You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away
Getting better
B-side
2.side:
A.side
Why don’t we do it in the road
B-side
The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill
Get back
Money (that’s what I want)

Thanks @Martha I am glad you liked the playlist and the track listing. I like that I had no say what songs are on the playlist so it was fun to put together.
I like your playlist as well. It looks good and I look forward to giving it a listen.

To celebrate Australia’s yes vote to gay marriage, I made a playlist about love. It’s short, but it’s a good listen.
2. I Need You
3. I’m Happy Just To Dance With You
5. Boys
9. Love Me Do
11. She Loves You
12. The Word
Any thoughts? It’s very heavy on early songs, but that’s representative of what the Beatles sung about in their different eras.

Pretty good but I’d replace She Loves You with You’re Going To Lose That Girl because when you think about it the song could be about a closeted homosexual who’s realizing he’s not into women and would rather be with men and in the process loses interest in his girl and his friend is about to take her, I’d also add Blackbird because it’s about being free and equality and I’d also throw in Good Day Sunshine because it’s a good thing that these people have the right to marry and it’s a sunny and happy day so it fits in perfectly. Besides that though I love it.

I was considering You’re Going To Lose That Girl , but there is a tone of negativity in it, so I decided to leave it out, even though it probably would have fit really well.
But I should have put Here, There And Everywhere on, as well as I Should Have Known Better … But I didn’t. Oh well, next time, they’ll be track 1 and 2!

What a nice idea for a playlist with a truly beautiful occasion. If this had fourteen tracks I would have probably added Something and Long Long Long but it’s great the way it is, actually.
It’s especially cool how it starts with All You Need Is Love and ends with The Word – now that’s really a well thought-through song order!

I was always curious to know what a strange experimental The Beatles and Yoko avant-garde album would be like, including Wild Honey Pie and Revolution 9 . So I did a fan made mix-tape of what this was supposed to sound like. The mix contains Two Virgins, Electronic Music and various layers of bootlegs joined together to look like one piece. I don’t know if there’s a option to upload to you guys.
Tracklist:
1 – Tomorrow Never Knows (Anthology Take)
2 – A Beginning
3 – Los Paranoias
4 – Twingumybob
5 – You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)
6 – Experiment
7 – Shirley’s Wild Accordion
8 – Wild Honey Pie
9 – Flying (Extended Version)
10 – What’s The New Mary Jane ?
11 – Circles
12 – Pantomime (Remember Love)
13 – Banjos
14 – Ringo’s Intro
15 – Jessie’s Dream
16 – Dream Scene (Wonderwall Music )
17 – Revolution 9
18 – Peace Of Mind (The Candle Burns)
Still waiting for Carnival Of Light to complete the album.
Me and Yoko are ready for hate 😀
“Do what you wanna do.”

I’ve done a couple recently. One was a 14 song compilation of Beatle songs from 1963, excluding any cover versions and the other was a 14 song compilation combining ‘Beatles For Sale ‘ (and ‘I Feel Fine ‘) and ‘Help ‘, again excluding any cover versions.
1963

3. This Boy 3. From Me To You
4. Don’t Bother Me 4. I Wanna Be Your Man
5. I’ll Get You 5. All My Loving
6. All I Got To Do 6. There Is A Place
7. She Loves You 7. I Want To Hold Your Hand

I can’t remember the last time I made a playlist, a compilation, or a mix-tape. It’s just something I’ve rarely done. I like to listen to songs on albums in the order they were intended to be listened (e.g Glass Onion after Dear Prudence after Back In The USSR ).
I like knowing what’s coming up next. For years though I always expected Love You To to immediately follow Eleanor Rigby on Revolver , because I’d been used the sequencing from the Yellow Submarine Songtrack .

In my head, I expect Penny Lane to follow Eleanor Rigby . We listened to the 1 compilation album a lot when I was a child.
I think it's great you're going through a phase,

I think The Beatles are one of the artists where you get the most out of it if you listen to full albums, particularly in the later years. That said, I do have a few Beatles related playlists for specific moods, particularly one with more acoustic/chilled Beatles songs like ‘Two of Us’, ‘In My Life ‘ etc.

I’ve done compilations, splitting their output into the 3 distinct phases ….
1. Early years up to Help !
2. Middle period from Rubber Soul to MMT.
3. Late period, Lady Madonna to The End !

No. The last time I did anything approaching this was when I added a random selection of songs I particularly liked to my iTunes library to try it out shortly after I bought an iTouch 3rd generation which were released way back in in 2009 and which hasn’t been updated since that one and only upload. I have occasionally compiled stranded b-sides and various artists exclusive tracks onto a CD but just as a method of rounding up tracks. I prefer to hear things as the artist intended, which is why I stick with physical product. Don’t get playlist culture. At all. A generational thing I guess.
