Hi There,
I posted this over at Discogs to try and find out more info, but I thought I could try here as well.
I found an LP with blank white labels and handmade label maker song titles. The songs are all from the Get Back sessions, from what I can tell, and they are very rough versions. Most songs have talking before and after, some have mistakes and feedback in the middle. I’ve only done a small amount of research so far, and I can see that there are about a million bootlegs and compilations out there from these sessions, so I imagine that it isn’t that unique to find. I found a similar release called The Silver Album and another on Lemon Records, but none have the same track listing or matrix information.
Here’s the track listing –
Side A:
Get Back I
Janey Walk
Let It Be
Teddy Boy
On Our Way
Side B:
Don’t Let Me Down
I’ve Got A Feeling
Long Winding Road
I Love You
All I Want Is You
Get Back II
And here’s what it looks like –

I made a low quality rip from the vinyl in garageband on my computer, but I haven’t figured out the best way to share the audio samples yet. Anyone that has any ideas I’d be open to suggestions.
Unfortunately the only back story on the actual copy I found is that it has been sitting in a closet at my parents house in Michigan for years, neither of my parents know where it came from. I’m going to be putting this up for sale soon, but I’m trying to find out as much as I can about it before I do.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Definitely the ‘Get Back ‘ sessions from January 1969; ‘I Love You’ will be a bootleggers title for ‘For You Blue ‘, ‘On Our Way Home’ ‘Two Of Us ‘, ‘All I Want Is You’ ‘Dig A Pony ‘. I’d guess ‘Janey Walk’ is ‘The Walk’.
I have a bootleg book upstairs, i’ll have a look and see if this collection is in it.

I did a quick search and BootlegZone doesn’t seem to have it in their records.

Been thru the three books i have that document bootlegs covering the ‘Get Back ‘ sessions and none of them have anything with that specified track-listing, the closest throws in ‘One After 909 ‘ and doesnt have the alternate song titles. Sorry.
I hope you find it @PatrickJames10 and if you do please let us know.
Good luck.

Alright, finally found a way to put these samples up. They’re low quality, so bear with the sound.

Could you post a picture of the item?
Another question I have in general is: do people buy bootlegs like this since the material is available for free on the web?
Can buy Joe love! Amazon | iTunes

There seems to be various threads here about individual Beatles bootleg releases, but not one concerning bootlegs in general. This thread can be used to talk about bootlegged, rare or foreign albums/singles/DVDs etc.
Here’s where I find a huge chunk of things –

I stumbled upon this interesting 1974 release on the Melodiya label, which most artists inside and outside the USSR came under during the 60s, 70s and 80s.
The four songs on this EP(?) are I Should Have Known Better , Can’t Buy Me Love , (both 1964) Lady Madonna (1968) and Maxwell’s Silver Hammer (1969). A lot of Beatles releases on Melodiya have songs from different years. Does anyone know why this is?

I’ve brought this up in other places on the forum, but I’ll bring it back up here. That is this Get Back ver. 2 bootleg that I really love.

Going back to The Beatles on Melodiya, I’ve found this reissue of the same EP from 1980:
http://collectorsfrenzy.com/de…..ery_rare
Melodiya released a collection of the songs featured on their EPs.
The tracks included are as follows-
With A Little Help From My Friends
Across The Universe (Let It Be version I presume)
However, this still doesn’t explain why some of the EPs have songs from different years. Also, I wonder if @Joe would be interested in adding the Melodiya EPs (the only album of The Beatles released on Melodiya I have seen on the internet is AHDN ) to the discographies section.

Nothing yet? In the mean time, I was looking through the discographies section on the site and came across the Israeli 1971 release of Magical Mystery Tour .
Does anyone know why it was released there THAT year? Was it postponed or to make up for The Beatles splitting?

I remember going to a record store where they had a bunch of interesting Russian (?) releases. Perhaps sometime I’ll take another look at them and maybe get one…

I doubt that Soviet Russia would allow Beatles music.

But aren’t the Beatles credited with contributing to the downfall of the USSR?

Yeah, and David Hasselhoff credits himself for bringing down the Berlin Wall.
