This is fairly easy and unlike most of these lists, I am not putting any rules on myself, so let’s begin:

Please Please Me (1963)

Best:

Ask Me Why (I really love the vocals on this song)

Worst:

Love Me Do (too simple)

With The Beatles (1963)

Best:

Till There Was You (great guitar solo by George)

Worst:

Devil In Her Heart (pure filler)

Long Tall Sally (1964)

Best:

I Call Your Name (you got to love that 12 string and the chord progressions)

Worst:

Matchbox (Ringo should’ve stuck to drums)

A Hard Day’s Night (1964)

Best:

I’ll Be Back (I like the sound of this song, it’s somber yet cheerful and it displays that The Beatles doing some of their best work)

Worst:

A Hard Day’s Night (overplayed and overrated, this song is bland)

Beatles For Sale (1964)

Best:

I’ll Follow The Sun (I love the gentle vocals, contrapuntal harmonies, and relaxed but not mellow atmosphere)

Worst:

Honey Don’t (not a bad song but something had to go here)

Help ! (1965)

Best:

You’re Going To Lose That Girl (such beautiful 3 part harmonies and great lyrics by John, who accompanies himself on his Gibson acoustic guitar)

Worst:

You Like Me Too Much (has nothing going for it, it’s just filler)

Rubber Soul (1965)

Best:

Nowhere Man (I absolutely love the 3 part harmonies, lyrics, chord progression, and the tone of John and George’s Fender Strats, such a beautiful song, better than anything else they’ve done before)

Worst:

You Won’t See Me (this song goes nowhere)

Revolver (1966)

Best:

And Your Bird Can Sing (I love harmonized guitar solos, enough said)

Worst:

Love You To (while not a bad song, I don’t like it as much as the other 13 tracks on the album)

Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)

Best:

Fixing A Hole (I love the feel of this song and the guitar solo as well, the only full length solo George has on this album (he has a small one on Reprise))

Worst:

She’s Leaving Home (one of the worst Beatles songs and the only song on Sgt. Pepper that I actually consider bad, it’s too sad and I don’t like this type of music)

Magical Mystery Tour (1967)

Best:

I Am The Walrus (not all children songs are bad, this one is great and really makes you want to dance around like you’re 3 years old, this song reminds me of The Wiggles, who you could say are a parody of The Beatles)

Worst:

Blue Jay Way (I don’t see why this song is liked so much)

Yellow Submarine (1968) *5 new songs only

Best:

It’s All Too Much (who would’ve thought John could play guitar this well)

Worst:

All You Need Is Love (not bad but a little overplayed for my taste)

The Beatles (1968)

Best:

Happiness Is A Warm Gun (this is The Beatles at their finest, a song that tells a story and switches parts seemingly on the fly yet seamlessly, such a beautiful song)

Worst:

Good Night (this song absolutely sucks, despite being on the best Beatles album it’s the worst song The Beatles have ever recorded, this is a rock album, I don’t want a classical lullaby from a terrible singer telling me to go to sleep, what a piss poor way to end one of the greatest albums of all time)

Abbey Road (1969)

Best:

Come Together (sometimes they save the best for last, in this case they started with their best, nothing quite like a classic rocker with great guitars, great bass, great drums, a riff that involves vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, 2 guitar solos, and an electric piano played by Paul)

Worst:

Her Majesty (who makes a 23 second song, even if this were in the medley as planned it’s be significantly shorter than the other songs)

Let It Be (1970)

Best:

I Me Mine (George made some of The Beatles best songs during their final years and this is no exception)

Worst:

Maggie Mae (too short)

Magical Mystery Tour (1976) *4 new songs only

Best:

Strawberry Fields Forever (this song showed that The Beatles were entering psychedelic rock full swing and it’s a really great song, it’s a shame it had to wait 9 years for a UK album release)

Worst:

Baby You’re A Rich Man (far from bad but not nearly as good as the other songs here)

Past Masters (1988)

Best:

Revolution (significantly better than it’s album version, I really like the heavy sound of this song)

Worst:

Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand and Sie Liebt Dich (tie, I like my Beatles music in English, not German, although these songs would be great for Martha)

Anthology (1995)

Best:

Free As A Bird (even after being separated for 25 years, they are still able to make a decent song)

Worst:

the tracks where they are just talking (fine for intermissions if you’re listening to the sextuple (or nonuple if you’re listening on vinyl) album as a whole but on their own, they’re no good)
