Taxman : “Least Favourite: Here There And Everywhere . Nice vocals but doesn't really go anywhere.”
Taxman , for what it's worth, a few years ago I went to hear McCartney be interviewed. He was asked what his favorite Beatle song (of his) was. He answered, “Here, There, and Everywhere.” He was particular proud of the fact that it DOES go somewhere – the middle eight neatly comes right back to the main melody. Food for thought… (for some time, it seemed to be the most popular wedding song around)

Here, There And Everywhere was also one of John's favourites. Ive said it before that the backing vocals on it are so lush, i get lost in them every time. The same kind of things happens with What Goes On but George's guitar and Ringo's deadpan vocal lift me out.

Please Please Me : There's a Place/PS I Love You . There's a Place is VERY underrated, really shows early Lennon-McCartney. And PS I Love You just annoys me.
With the Beatles: All I've Got To Do/Not A Second Time . Classic song, and again, simply irritating song.
A Hard Day's Night: If I Fell /Tell Me Why . If I Fell IMO is even better than A Hard Day's Night and Can't Buy Me Love, which are usually the favorites. And Tell Me Why is just repetitive and annoying.
Beatles For Sale : No Reply /Words Of Love . Absolutely LOVE No Reply , but not the monotone vocals of WOL.
Help !: Help !/Dizzy Miss Lizzy . Help ! is just a great start to a great album, but DML doesn't close it off well, especially when it follows Yesterday .
Rubber Soul : In My Life /nothing! Rubber Soul is not only my favorite album, but has my favorite Beatles song, In My Life . Literally don't hate a single track on this (No, not even What Goes On Ringo haters)
Revolver : I Want To Tell You /nothing! (again!) I Want To Tell You is far too underrated, especially coming from George. Again, not a single bad track on this album.
Sgt. Pepper : Lovely Rita /Good Morning Good Morning . I don't necessarily hate GMGM, but its just not my favorite song. Love the whole album, close second would be Lucy.
Magical Mystery Tour : Hello, Goodbye /Flying . Love the ending of HG a lot, and Flying is just an odd song, being an instrumental written by all four Beatles. But, still don't hate it.
The Beatles (Disc 1): Martha My Dear or I'm So Tired/While My Guitar Gently Weeps . Happiness through Blackbird is the best either disc has to offer, and I just don;t see the appeal of WMGGW, I never liked it at all.
The Beatles (Disc 2): Long, Long, Long /Revolution 1 or Cry Baby Cry . Absolutely love LLL, again, another underrated George song. And yes, Revolution 1 , not 9. I actually don't mind 9, but at 12 AM, it would freak me out. And CBC is just one of those songs I never got into.
Yellow Submarine : Hey Bulldog /It's All Too Much. Hey Bulldog is an incredible song, especially the end when Paul and John are talking nonsense. It's All Too Much is just too long (no pun intended) to enjoy, but I like the Psychedelic feel.
Abbey Road : Oh! Darling /Nothing!! Love everything on Abbey Road , especially the medley. And we all know who Oh Darling is about *cough cough* John *cough cough*
Let It Be : For You Blue /Get Back . And the end of the Beatles saga is over (I know AR was recorded before). For You Blue is a great GEorge song, right at the peak of him becoming as great a songwriter as John or Paul. And Get Back IMO is not a good song, and it's not even what Paul wanted the lyrics to be in the first place.
Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.

Please Please Me – Favourite: Ask Me Why (very sweet song) Least Favourite: A Taste Of Honey (doesn’t even sound like the Beatles)
With the Beatles- Favourite: Don’t Bother Me (somewhat dark, unlike the rest of the album) Least Favourite: Little Child (I like it but not as well as the others)
A Hard Day’s Night – Favourite: If I Fell (good lyrics) Least Favourite: When I Get Home (I don’t really care for the vocals)
Beatles For Sale – Favourite: What You’re Doing (those voices…) Least Favourite: Kansas City (I can’t even listen to it all the way through)
Help – Favourite: You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away (folksy) Least Favourite: Act Naturally (too country)
Rubber Soul – Favourite: If I Needed Someone (I just love the darkness of the middle eight) Least Favourite: What Goes On (too country for my taste)
Revolver – Favourite: Tomorrow Never Knows (great song that is COMPLETELY different from anything from Rubber Soul ) Least Favourite: Yellow Submarine (nothing great)
Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band- Favourite: Lovely Rita (so catchy!) Least Favourite: Getting Better (I like it, but not as well as everything else)
The Beatles Disc One- Favourite: Martha My Dear (piano is amazing) Least Favourite: Wild Honey Pie (no real meaning there)
The Beatles Disc Two- Favourite: Long, Long, Long (gorgeous; period) Least Favourite: Good Night (it gets old)
Yellow Submarine – Favourite: Only A Northern Song (such honest lyrics..) Least Favourite: Yellow Submarine (I love the rest but don’t care for this particular track)
Abbey Road – Favourite: Because (haunting vocals) Least Favourite: Maxwell’s Silver Hammer (catchy, but a waste of money and time)
Let It Be – Favourite: Across The Universe (what can I say?) Least Favourite: The Long And Winding Road (too slow)
6.03pm
2 October 2011
– I Saw Her Standing There (it’s absolutely crazy and I just feel the urge to dance when I hear it, and Paul’s vocals are amazing)
– Misery (I like this song, but if I have to choose the least favourite of the album, it would be this one, ’cause their harmonies really make me think about misery)
With the Beatles
– All My Loving (it’s just a classic of the early Beatles era, even though I found it hard to choose between this one and “Don’t Bother Me “)
– Devil In Her Heart (I don’t like the opening chords, and the lyrics are a bit silly)
– And I Love Her (this absolutely awesome, the melody, the lyrics, Paul’s sweet voice… Another alternative would have been the title track)
– I’ll Cry Instead (the song sounds miserable, and John sings it in this painful voice)
– Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby (one of George’s best vocal performance, he just blows this song away, and the rhythm is good)
– I’ll Follow The Sun (I was never a big fan of this one, and the lyrics sound a bit too mean for the sweet melody)
Help !
– The Night Before (the bass lines are awesome, and Paul’s voice too, one of my favourite Beatles tunes)
– Act Naturally (actually, I really like this song, but if I have to choose my least favourite…)
– Drive My Car (the beginning guitar chords are great, and I just love the “beep beep, beep beep, yeah” part)
– What Goes On (apart from the solo in the middle, it’s not that good, and the lyrics are depressing, always these girls breaking the guys’ hearts)
– Eleanor Rigby (the arrangement is really good, and Paul’s vocals are clear, and I also love the lyrics)
– Love You To (I love George’s indian songs, but I think the ones he did later were musically better. Another alternative would have been Doctor Robert )
Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band
– A Day In The Life (this is the song with best orchestral arrangement I’ve ever heard in my whole life; both John’s and Paul’s vocals are great)
– Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! (this song reminds me too much of a circus, and I always hated to go to the circus; John’s vocals sound a little dreary)
– Baby You’re A Rich Man (the instrumental arrangement at the beginning is so awesome, and I love to sing the refrain)
– Flying (just ’cause it has any words in it)
The Beatles (The White Album )
– Back In The USSR / While My Guitar Gently Weeps (I had to put these two ’cause I can’t decide between them, for me they’re both the best tracks of the album)
– Revolution 9 (God , how much I HATE this song. It has now words, no sense, nothing. I freak out when I hear it, and it makes me feel miserable.)
Yellow Submarine (I’m not including the instrumental tracks by George Martin)
– Hey Bulldog (it’s a catchy song, the lyrics are cool, and I love the bass on it. John and Paul’s duet is just perfect.)
– Only A Northern Song (it’s one of George’s worst songs)
– Something / You Never Give Me Your Money (again, I had to put two tracks among the best, ’cause they’re both so great, musically and vocally, they’re just two of my favourites of the Beatles)
– Mean Mr. Mustard (John sings it again in that dreary voice that I don’t like)
– Let It Be (it’s one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard, it’s just perfect)
– Maggie Mae (it’s badly sung from John, and I don’t like the song itself. I like to sing along for fun, but I’ve never listened to it much)

"Real music is made by real people playing real instruments using own creativity and skills."
I had to cop out on “best song” for about four albums because I like too many of them too much. But I had a go:
Best: There’s A Place (criminally underrated, awesome harmony between John and Paul, just beats out I Saw Her Standing There )
Worst: Ask Me Why (just never really liked it, one of the more dated tracks on the album)
With the Beatles
Best: It Won’t Be Long (an opener which the album never really manages to live up to IMO)
Worst: Little Child
Best: If I Fell (stiff competition, but this is still one of the most beautiful songs ever written)
Worst: I’ll Cry Instead (dull melody, John sounds uninterested, don’t like the whole country thing)
Best: No Reply (astonishingly good, although I’m tempted to nominate two or three others on this album)
Worst: Honey Don’t (duh)
Help !
Best: Ticket To Ride
Worst: You Like Me Too Much (this song has always grated on me)
Best: I’m tempted to say the whole album, it’s simply impossible to choose
Worst: Wait
Best: Again, can’t choose, I could make a case for the majority of the songs
Worst: Doctor Robert (just feels somehow slightly uninspired comparatively)
Sgt Peppers’ Lonely Hearts Club Band
Best: A Day In The Life is probably the best from an objective standpoint, but there are a few songs I’d listen to more readily and more often
Worst: She’s Leaving Home (too ornate, too syrupy)
Best: Hello Goodbye
Worst: Blue Jay Way
The Beatles (White Album )
Best: Happiness Is A Warm Gun
Worst: Don’t Pass Me By (give me Revolution 9 over this tripe)
Best: An impossible decision
Worst: She Came In Through The Bathroom Window (though by no means is it bad)
Best: Let It Be
Worst: Dig It
Best: This Boy
Worst: Matchbox
Past Masters II
Best: Practically every song reigns supreme
Worst: The Inner Light

Rubber Soul – best “In My Life ” amongst others, worst “You Won’t See Me “
Revolver – best (too many to list) a toss up between “Eleanor Rigby ” and “Tomorrow Never Knows “, worst “And Your Bird Can Sing ” (if that’s the worst song on the album, you know why it’s their best album)
Sgt Pepper – best “A Day In The Life ” by far, worst “Lovely Rita “/”Fixing A Hole ” (Paul filler because John didn’t write enough songs)

The Beatles – best “Happiness Is A Warm Gun “, worst “Yer Blues ” (yuck)

Wow, really? I’d say that Paul was at his strongest on that album, some consider the medley the best thing he’s ever masterminded and committed to tape.

I know what you mean. Yesterday is a fine, fine piece of songwriting and possibly deserves the status it has achieved, but it really is so overplayed that I struggle to listen to it. I can’t say that about any other Beatles song really.
