Why is there such a lack of songs from Revolver and Rubber Soul . Only 9 different songs are covered. The cut of Tomorrow Never Knows is, imo, horrible along with the strings only cut of Eleanor Rigby . The rehearsal to I’m Only Sleeping is awesome but really doesn’t count as a track to me. 12 Bar Original is kinda lack luster as well.
How did only 6 songs make it out of some of their most prolific time in the studio? Is there just a lack of material for some reason?

It is odd how the selections vary so much, so I am interested in the answer to this one as well.
However, I would have preferred all of 12 Bar Original rather than some of the bogus pastiche tracks they presented.

It’s also odd that Anthology 1 has all those interviews while the others lack them.
And if you saw my love, I'll love her to.

The interview segments were ditched as they were felt to disrupt/jar the listening experience, well that was one of the reasons given at the time Anthology 2 came out.

To try and answer the OPs question: probably because they had to make room for something else, or simply couldn’t be bothered. The early version of Tomorrow Never Knows is fine but people wanted a good copy of RM11 which is a fantastic mono version. There’s a fair amount bootlegged from Revolver so there’s no lack of material there. The odd one is Rubber Soul , there’s very little bootlegged and they covered the three most obvious songs, but gave us nothing new.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

There are 8 alternates from ‘Revolver ‘ as different versions of ‘Here, There And Everywhere ‘ and ‘Yellow Submarine ‘ were on the ‘Real Love ‘ cd single.
Much of the available non-Anthology ‘Revolver ‘ outtakes consist of monitor mixes of ‘For No One ‘ and ‘Here, There And Everywhere ‘ which aren’t the easiest to listen to; aside from that there are 2 takes of ‘Paperback Writer ‘ and an early mix of ‘Yellow Submarine ‘ with a different brass band solo. I have no idea why there are so few selections from ‘Rubber Soul ‘; three cuts from such an important album was far too few and its not as if there was next to nothing to chose from. An early version of ‘In My Life ‘ with the rejected George Martin solo would have been a start.
They wouldnt have put on RM11 of ‘Tomorrow Never Knows ‘ as its simply an alternate mix whereas Take 1 demonstrates the creativity and development of the Beatles and the song. If we ever get a ‘Revolver ‘ box set then thats the place to have it.
