I’m surprised at the dislike for Across The Universe . The Past Masters version is probably in my top 10 Beatles songs. It’s just so ethereal and has some of John’s best lyrics (even he said so)
The lyrics are great, it’s the two most well-known mixes that ruin them for me; one being too fast with shrieking backing vocals from two female fans who couldn’t sing, the other too slow.

The Past Masters version is unpleasant to listen to, i like the album version though.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

I think I prefer it because it has a more psychedelic feel. I actually don’t mind the backing vocals, it gives the song a weird quality.
I like all of the mixes of course.

Most of the White Album . There’s only 5 or 6 songs that I can listen to from that album.

Do you mind me asking which ones? (Please, Please Me say While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Sexy Sadie are among them!)
If I would compromise a 14 tracks album of the Beatles weakest tracks I would really like at least half of them. I’m just physically not capable of not liking a Beatles song. Every time I think I have found a track I don’t like, I listen to it again and notice that I had only not listened to it in a too long time and therefore had forgotten how good it is in reality and then I like it again. That’s how it always goes. I even actually love songs like Honey Don’t , Wild Honey Pie , or Bungalow Bil which almost everyone else seems to hate.

sir walter raleighNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

This is what my album would be. Notice no Mr. Moonlight, I actually don’t mind that song.
1. All Together Now – A suitably annoying start to the album.
2. Don’t Pass Me By – Ringo’s worse song. Continuing the annoying theme.
3. Honey Pie – The worse of Paul’s granny s**t songs. I respect the sound of the song, it’s just not my cup of tea.
4. Little Child – Filler, filler, filler.
5. Honey Don’t – Again a nothing song. Ringo’s vocals are pretty lacklustre.
6. Matchbox – Probably the least inspiring vocal performance on a Beatles song. Just a nothing rocker.
7. Hold Me Tight – The vocals are just really annoying. A very uninspiring song.
8. Till There Was You – I get that it’s popular but it’s just so cringy.
9. You Like Me Too Much – The worst track on Help ! Just pretty annoying and the lyrics are shoddy. The piano solo is nice though.
10. You Really Got A Hold On Me – It just sounds so laboured. It’s not an enjoyable song to listen to.
11. A Taste Of Honey – Again it sounds laboured. They don’t sound like they can be bothered.
12. Kansas City – Annoyingly enthusiastic from Paul. Again a nothing rocker.
13. The Long And Winding Road – It’s not particularly annoying, just very very cheesy. A suitable end to the album (if you’d managed to make it this far).

Sorry for being slow at replying. Right, the tracks That I like on the White Album are:
Back In The USSR , Dear Prudence , Ob-La-Di etc, While My Guitar Gently Weeps , Revolution 1 & my fave Don’t Pass Me By .
George Martin had the right idea when he said that he could do a good single album out of it. It was sad that they just used each other as backing musicians. Ah Well!

Love You To , perhaps. Inner Light, not so much. But I didn’t want to appear to be Georgie bashing : )

According to Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, “strongest” and “weakest” Beatles songs are relative & subjective (and from a fast-moving train, plasticine porters have ordinary ties). To me, for example, “All Together Now ” is one of the Beatles’s best.
