MMM…..He was responsible for the album cover art and at the time, was known as Patrick for the album.
You were misunderstanding what @meanmistermustard was saying Penny Lane . He is totally aware of who did the painting, however there is no official version of how that artwork would have been shown as part of a cover for A Doll’s House. The image he shows for a ADH cover is not from any official source, but was created by a fan to show how it might have looked.
The fan who created it in 2016, a user of the Steve Hoffman Music Forums, whose name mmm couldn’t remember, goes by the username of andrewskyDE:
EDIT: The above is andrewskyDE’s first version of the cover, while the version mmm used appears a few pages later in the conversation with the same user saying they have tweaked it, in case any were wondering why the version I show differs. Mine is take 1, mmm’s is take 2.

I really like the cover for Sgt. Pepper ’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Their outfits are pretty cool, if you ask me.
I also like the one for Beatles For Sale (Ringo looks so adorable)

Whose Sgt Pepper outfit is the best?
Not “who looks the best in their outfit” but “whose outfit looks the best on its own.”
I personally love Paul’s best. (But of course we all know George is the best looking no matter what he wears )

John’s. The colours are more vivid, so I prefer his.
To be honest my favourite artwork is probably Revolver – Klaus outdid himself on that one.

I agree 100%– but nothing can beat the White Album artwork. Such creative artistry! It took true talent to design that album cover.
(Joking. Revolver is my favorite )

A disappointing album with a great cover.

Great cover: yes. Disappointing album: it’s disappointing in that it only has six songs, but those six are great .
Also, unless I am mistaken, Yellow Submarine was the first album to feature the sign of the horns on the cover.
My Yellow Submarine has this cover:

I don’t know if I’m missing your point, but John is holding a French Horn on the Sgt Pepper cover…

I agree that that the six songs on the album are fantastic, don’t know why everyone says that it’s the worst. It contains the awesome score for the YS film and the Beatles songs featured.

I meant the little hand signal John is doing.

What’s the difference between the two?
1. There are only 4 “new” Beatles songs on the album, of which only 3 are good (All Together Now isn’t that good IMO) and the stereo mixes are terrible, like as if they mixed it with mono in mind.
2. A lot. YSS is remixed and replaces the orchestral songs with other Beatles songs from the film. Sadly, they rearranged the songs and included a few songs that were barely even featured in the film like Think For Yourself .

But that’s ridiculous. Think For Yourself wasn’t in the film at all, was it?
Also: does it have Love You To ?

A loop of “.. And you’ve got time to rectify…” accompanies the onscreen image of (I think) the original band being freed from the glass dome-thing; and the “alap”/intro of “Love You To ” sets up the appearance of George, altho neither song appears in full.

i’ve kinda gotten obsessed with this as of late. and it’s gonna sound weird that I noticed this, but aside from Let it Be’s cover and a few re-releases, I’ve not found a cover of an album from the core catalogue or the US/Canada where the lads show up in the order most people introduce them nowadays John than Paul, then George, then Ringo. I can’t find one yet. the closest one I found was yesterday and today which had George on top and then John, Paul, and Ringo in a line. george is slightly right of paul, but he’s on top/behind.
can any of you guys find an album (from any region) that isn’t let it be or a re-release where they appear in the “standard” JPGR order?

I’d never noticed that before, but now you’ve pointed it out to me it’s bugging me more than it rationally should…
The best I can find is compilations after they broke up – for example, Rock And Roll Music Volume 2:

thanks holey, sorry about that. i was acting a little quick with this obsession.
i’ve started looking at the album covers around the world, a few countries internationally have the JPGR order. but i’ve been noticing some other anomalies
with the White Album , a lot of countries around the world put pictures of the lads on the cover just so it wasn’t just white I guess. and the pictures are the same ones as the anniversary release of the White Album . maybe they’re on the inside or something I don’t know.
Another weird thing I noticed was an Israeli cover for a compilation called “Beatles’ greatest”. (link in spoiler) first of all, it’s a beautiful album cover. simple but beautiful. and it might work as the focal point of a collage type art piece. if it existed as a poster I would hang it up on my wall. I might even try to find the album itself one day and frame it. but secondly, I’ve seen it on an album before and you might have too, but it wasn’t official. (lemme know if you can guess what i’m talking about on that)

Since this thread is active and this was discussed on the previous page.
In the 50th ‘White Album ‘ deluxe book, the belief that the cover that eventually was used on ‘Beatles Ballads’ was originally intended for ‘The White Album ‘ is flat-out rejected as being true.
