When my musical memory goes looking for a place to lay down and rest for a while, it always goes to Abbey Road .  Abbey Road is the FAB LP invested most potently with that inimitable sound, that texture, the genius of music.

And most importantly,  Abbey Road was The End . As the Joni Mitchell song goes: “Don’t it always seem to go, You don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone.”
