I walked in Spain with my sandals off as it was roasting. It’s actually quite relaxing when you get used to the feeling so I can see why Paul would (and it’s not that ’owwwww my feet are on fire’ feeling).
Out of interest. If you’re dead how does your body hold clothes and shoes in place as don’t we lose the physical form that would do so? And can your feet get wet if dead? Do they carry umbrellas and wearing Wellington boots? Seems a lot of hassle. And how do you pay for them, for one you can’t go and get a job (cop).

Maybe you’re dead too.
You can wear the clothes after you die as they’re only a dead weight (ho Ho Ho He He He Ha Ha Ha).

When I haven’t seen the actual Abbey Road cover for a while, I forget what a mysterious puzzle it was when it arrived. Besides the alleged funeral procession, every aspect was singled out for diagnosis. There was a time I was sure that the GPS coordinates to a utopian island location were somewhere to be found on the cover. Its funny that the only “hidden” message ended up being that the Beatles were walking away from the studio. Who would have thought that the elements of the cover would come to have a life of their own (including a major tourist attraction 50+ years later).

It’s their most iconic cover and it came right at the end for them. Also goes to show how we don’t always have to look far for greatness or something worthwhile to do. For them it was literally outside their studio.
