What will the speculation be like on Let It Be /Get Back …Feck! We already know it’s coming. Many of us already have 58+ discs…
Most of it will probably be discussions on whether or not the Beatles were involved during it or bored senseless and more music from those sessions is a waste of time – except for the ‘Rooftop’ concert. God help Apple if that is not released in full.
Wasn’t the best of bootleg (called ‘Thirty Days’) where it omitted all the jams and waste of time material something like 19 discs.

Definitely. Good to return to the forum to have all this confirmed and get a tracklist. The White Album Super Deluxe was my holy grail, but I’m still excited to pick this up. More Beatles the better!

Pre-ordered last night and also quite looking forward to hearing all the outtakes. To keep my anticipation high (and prolong my agony), I avoided listening to the new versions of Something and I won’t be listening to any tracks from the album until I have the boxset.
@Ron Nasty, regarding your comment that we know Let It Be /Get Back boxset is coming, do you mean that literally, or just that “we know” that they very likely will? Has it been officially or accidentally confirmed?

@glazball, I suppose it’s more “very likely” than guaranteed, but far closer to guaranteed.
We’ve already had it confirmed that Peter Jackson’s working on a new edit of Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s January 1969 footage, and that a remastered version of Lindsay-Hogg’s original film will be made available (possibly as a bonus feature when Jackson’s gets DVD/Blu-ray release).
Given that, it seems virtually unthinkable that we’re not getting a 50th anniversary super deluxe on 8 May next year to go alongside the film (50th anniversary of the original to the day, and it falls on a Friday!).
And, as a side note, Nasty’s birthday!!! Though not his 50th. That’s been and gone.

It’s not guaranteed but its a given that there will be music released alongside the two versions of the film. I cannot for the life of me see how Apple would issue the film, which will surely contain a number of previously unreleased performances, and not be putting out some kind of soundtrack/album, especially when it ties into the 50th Anniversary of the original album. Apple was going to re-release the film in 2003 but pulled it at the last minute yet we still ended up with ‘Let It Be Naked’ (sadly).
The only question, therefore, is how they go about doing so. But that is for another thread.

I just found this on the International Cricket Council’s facebook page, with the caption
So you’re saying it’s been 50 years?
(For those who didn’t watch the 2005 Ashes in England, those are Australia’s fast bowlers from the tour)
I’m amazed how wide-spread the celebration of this cover shoot is. It’s literally everywhere – it was even on my local breakfast radio yesterday morning!

Indeed. Mr George Martin knew how to stoke those strings!

“For an overnight session on February 22, 1969, The Beatles were joined at London’s Trident Studios by producer George Martin and engineer Glyn Johns to record “I Want You (She’s So Heavy).” Abbey Road ’s new edition combines a take from that session with the concluding part of the Trident master’s eight-track reduction mix made later at the EMI studios, revealing for the first time Billy Preston’s thrilling overdubbed organ solo.”
I think a snippet of this organ solo exists on the Love album. It is electrifying. Cannot wait to hear the rest!

It’s amazing to me how people can put differences aside and make one of the best albums in existence. It’s like the tension between them just makes their music even better, and not worse. That’s very rare you can have a group of people who are just angry at each other about everything and still manage to put together one of their best pieces of work. That’s one incredible feat if you ask me.

Joe gets a little commission on every sale made using the site link, @Tony Japanese, and it doesn’t need to be Beatles or related. It ain’t much but goes toward keeping the site up and running.
Doesn’t affect the price or anything, just means Amazon/iTunes pay a little to Joe.

Anyone hoping for a Let It Be documentary remaster (including rooftop HD remaster) in 2020? Is it asking for too much?
